"It was fully equipped to be self-contained, which is good because there's nothing else close-by for meals. The "chalets" were unique and fun to try for a couple nights. We booked it as a way to see the more rustic northern part of Vancouver Island. Staff was really nice."

"hot breakfast was bare minimum, avg. sausage, scrambled egg(ish?) and potato. toast, waffle, juice and coffee. none of the handy continental breakfast staples like fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt,and all the usual items. ie, nothing you could take out with you to maybe enjoy later or in your room. you can order off the menu for a discount, but now your paying for something that's basically supposed to be included. We thought this room was on the high side for what is a very basic room. This property is about to be branded a Best Western we were told. If the prices go up, which is probably likely, it will fall out of our value picks."

"The rooms bed was not clean, under the pillows there was hair. Other than that it was a good stay. They wanted to give me a free meal on my next stay, but being from Newfoundland i will be a long time before returning. "

"The property is well located in the centre of the village. Only complained we had was due to the outside noise (Power saw and back-up alarm from forklift) created by the construction in the harbor. A room on the other side of the hotel might have cushioned that noise somewhat. The staff lady which we connected with in the Grocery/Liquor Store was extremely helpful and sourced a microwave and cutlery for us , since the restaurants where still closed for the season. Would definitely stay there again."

"Very cozy spot. Feels more like home away home. Maybe not your new, modern motel/hotel, but the beds were comfortable and I was able to leave my patio door open through the night to enjoy the beautiful ocean air. Very affordable and was perfect for a quick visit to see family. "
