Good location

Overall, the stay was was quite delightful. The staff were very polite. The service tended to be a little slow at times but still helpful. The location is the best part, very beautiful and the resort is maintained very well.

Rooms- we had 2 rooms both smelled of mildew. The smell was so terrible that even room freshner didn’t help much. The toilet had a similar smell. The room was 12 feet by 10 feet in size approximately. With whatever furniture, there was room to move around. So the only option is to use for sleeping. The linens were torn and smelly and was just old. It had dark patches. The toilet has cotton towels which are equally poor quality and unclean. The restaurant in the property serve a mix of North Indian and sea food. The price of food is little steep but quality wasn’t good at all. All the food tasted the same and had a strong tandoor smell. The commute from Puri station is not easy. I got an Uber to the hotel which cost me 650 bucks. For return I got an auto from the main road which also cost 600. You gotta bargain hard. The area inside the property has a lot of trees which is a treat. The location and the view of the sea is unmatched. That’s really impressive. We roamed around the property by the sea for the most part of stay. If you are expecting a comfortable stay with a better property upkeep , I wouldn’t recommend this.

Good stay at konark

Check in and room was good. They provided us with an early check in. Comfortable room and plenty of hot water. Service a bit slow but food was fine. Only drawback was that fruit and bread left uncovered at breakfast so attracted flies. Hotel booked a driver for us fir a day tour but he was grumpy because we did not want to go to his village to see crafts. We had a full day planned and paid 2,000 for a 10am to 5pm day. Then wanted parking money every time we stopped.

After attending an amazing Bengali wedding, spending 3 nights at Lotus Retreat Provided a lovely rest-surrounded by dancing butterflies, blooming flowers, sounds of sea & birds, beautiful sunrises, walks on the beach & good food. Disappointing that we were not informed construction on site due to previous cyclone therefore it was noisy. Temporary eco retreat across the waters prevented an ocean. Management took responsibility for situation & provided complimentary dinner. Thank you. Warm,friendly & helpful staff. Recommend. Good luck with the renovations
