Hotel Plaza
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous hotel in the most incredible area, local to everything! Within a few blocks you have a view of the city or a waterfront with restaurants, pharmacy, souvenir shop, coffee shops and the most magnificent City Square right out of the steps of this hotel. Did I mention how Gorgeous it is? But it is definitely a step into the past. My key was a "skeleton key"! And be aware, there are no elevators and the hotel lobby is initially up a flight of stairs.. Breakfast was minimal but included the essentials...bread, butter, brewed coffee, tea, cheese, meat, pastry, yogurt and cereal and fresh made eggs. The kitchen staff made it next level and you felt "home"."

"Big room with breakfast in the fridge and snacks, coffee and tea replenished daily. Very clean room, friendly front desk and easily walkable to downtown for shopping and restaurants."

"Great option for backpackers. Good included breakfast, hot hot shower and bed was great. The gentleman at the desk saved me by helping me figure out how to get a new tourist card at investigative police station. Highly recommend"

"A true home away from home experience, Sarah and Rodrigo made us feel very welcome and provided a warm and comfortable apartment for our stay. Their knowledge of the area plus recommendations for everything were great. I’m happy to highly recommend for either a short or extended stay."

"Great place to stay. Great staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Only caveat is at the moment (26 September 26) the hotel is adding a large extension to the building so there was a lot of building work noise till 6.30pm and it started again at 9am. Because of the noise it was difficult to relax."
