"Look, it's a ~$125/night hotel. No expectations of luxury, and I was barely there 8 hours. but... -the room heater seemed to have no user-settable controls. There were buttons, but no temperature readout, and no apparent response to changing settings. It wasn't hugely too cold, but I would have upped it by a couple degrees if I could. -The water in the sink/shower never got above lukewarm. Chilly way to start the day in the cold snap Anchorage was in when I stayed. -No shampoo in the room. Staff were helpful and pleasant! Check-in/out was a breeze. Looked like the bathrooms had recently been renovated. I might even stay again in a similar situation."

"Our last night all our groceries were stolen out of our truck. Staff wasn’t helpful. That was our 2 months worth. "

"Room was clean and newly remodeled on my floor and room. No food available in hotel and vending machine not full. Area not best in town but for one night stay it was very good for me "

"I traveled with young children, and the pool is very important to them. They were thrilled that unlike most hotel pools we visit the pool here was warm. I was pleased that the pool deck area was very clean and there were plenty of towels. The staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast spread has a large variety of food to choose from. I have some very picky eaters, but they were all able to find something they liked. My kids were thrilled with the place. My daughters told me this was their new favorite hotel and want to stay here every time we come to Anchorage."

"Heat in Room did not work - children got sick due to overwhelming smell of paint and room fresheners and bad smells in the hallways. Adult males fighting and yelling at night scared my kids. The pool was ice cold with black curly hairs all over making it look murky - the hot tub was not hot enough to prevent the growth of unsanitary bacteria. I would not recommend this hotel at all. The stars on the staff are only for one staff member, the one that greeted us on arrival - she was wonderful and said the same thing about the odors in our rooms. "
