Dated property

The Property is dated, drawers don’t open, handles falling off wardrobes etc. The bedroom is air conditioned, the rest is not. Not sure if opening all the windows helped or not, as what little breeze there was is warm and the lounge gets the sun most of the day. It wasn’t the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in. Communication was prompt with the owner, and she allowed us a late check out. Would certainly recommend a car. There is a very steep road up to house, not for the unfit.

The apartment was comfortable. There was air conditioning in the bedroom only. It was on a quiet street. There was no noise from the neighbors. There is nothing within walking distance. You need to take a taxi to do anything. Overall a good value.

It fit just fine for my lifestyle. Clean owner personally called to make sure i made it. Its a legit apartment with everything you need in it plus washer and dryer. I was at war with a few monkeys running across the roof and terrorizing the Neighbors dogs . Other than that the rest was all good.

The property had all the facilities required for a home from home. The layout of the apartment was well arranged with a refreshing breeze flowing through the property when the windows were open. Security to the apartment was excellent and the location quiet yet part of the local community. A safe in the property and a landline would have made the apartment perfect. Also the opportunity to watch the local news channel would have been great in additon to the Netflix provided. Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent. Any queries were responded to swiftly during my stay and communication was excellent from the point of the initial booking right through to checking out. I would highly recommend particularly if you are looking to be fairly independent on your holiday.

A nice clean flat close to a beautiful beach

The apartment was spacious and very nice, we even had a sea view. It should me mentioned though that the living room gets very warm during the day as the windows are facing South and West. In the bedroom there is an ac. Also, you should be prepared to walk quite a lot of stairs to get in the flat. The house is situated up a hill near beautiful Batts Rock beach. Would definitely recommend.

Great for the Bargain!

CONS: This short stay apartment was slightly set apart from Bridgetown so if you rent a car you would be fine but when it is hot and you are walking (like I was) it is not a very convenient place to sight see. It only had AC in the bed room which was fine at night because I was gone during the day so when the sun goes down it was nice to sit in the living room but too hot during the day. The pillows had hard plastic protective covers which made them uncomfortable and the bedding/linen was simple. No landline phone. The view from the sea was not what was advertised, it could be seen a ways away but was promoted as being "right on the sea." I was a bit isolated. PROS: The mattress was fairly comfortable and the AC, television, and wifi worked well. There was lots of space to accommodate two people comfortably. The apartment's care-taker was very kind and assisted me in giving me a ride to get food when my plane arrived late, and when my luggage didn't arrive he drove me all the way back to the airport to get them two days later. He directed me in what direction to go for shopping/exploring and I was taken to a landline phone to make a call to the airport. The apartment double locked so I felt secure and the neighborhood was very quiet.

A little disssapointed!

Apartment was spacious and clean however it needs to be refurbished, couch and microwave very old and very little kitchen supplies! Coffee pot and toaster could not be plugged iAd wrong outlet. Needs a complete overall!

Appartamento in zona prospect , comodo per misitare le piu belle spiagge delle barbados, neccessaria macchina, vicino a ristoranti nella zona.

A Great Place to Get Away

Staying at the Preserve was great! It's not a hotel, so you really should bring all necessary toiletries, and not expect that someone is going to clean up after you. It is an apartment, so if you're looking for a place that has a kitchen, laundry, etc., then this is a very good place. It's a two-minute walk from the main road, taking you to Bridgetown, close to Batts Rock Beach, and about a 15 minute walk to the UWI Cave Hill campus. It served our needs and was clean.
