Comfortable beds, nice breakfast
This hotel has for me the most comfortable beds in Prague. It is one of my favorite hotels but I have to say I was very disappointed by the check-in and check-out experience this time around - arrived late at 10:30pm and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up at the reception and the same thing happened in the morning when I had to leave for a meeting with my client and nobody was there for my checkout. This for a 4star hotel like this is not OK from my perspective. Someone always has to be at reception or just leave a number there or something. I love this hotel but please fix the check-in/out experience, it was not up to your standards.

The horel staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a leak in the room below and they had to access it from the bathroom in my room. They more than made up for the inconvenience, moved me to a better room, offered me additional perks etc. This is a great hotel, very comfortable and is close to everything. Stay here, you will love it!

Great hotel. Good location.
This is a good hotel in a decent location. It doesn't sit in the centre of town (not a bad thing in my opinion) but is within walking distance of the old town and has a tram stop very close by with regular trams that cost very little. My room was a good size and the bed was comfortable...I even had an unexpected balcony! Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and quick to acknowledge you. They were also very helpful. There has been a mix-up with one of the bookings in my party, and this was quickly resolved by reception. The only negative point appears to be a hotels.com issue rather than the hotel itself, as when asking about the "free beverage" promised in the booking, I was told that the hotel doesn't do this. When I raised this with hotels.com, they were quick to offer compensation, but to my knowledge, the offer is still shown on the booking page. But this is a very minor point. In summary, if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Prague, outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but with good transport links back and forth, then this is the perfect place to book.

Beautiful hotel but was disappointed by a few things - Not able to sleep properly due to noisy pipes and other noise from the building - Double beds do not have double sized duvet - the hotel only offers 2 single size duvets - Massage room is a cupboard - Curtains are not black out as advertised - On a positive note the staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions eg how to get around via tram

Great Experience!
Hotel staff and facilities were excellent! The pillows were smaller than what we are accustomed to so we had folded them in half for comfort. The cleaning staff noticed this and without asking, they left us 2 additional pillows. What a treat after a long day of sightseeing! If ever we return to Prague, we will stay at Hotel Alwyn.

My stay at the Hotel Alwyn was as pleasant an experience one could wish for. Ever friendly staff... helpful and smiles to make the day right! The language barrier was not a problem because my ease and comfort was their job....and they did that! What a pleasure to visit the Czech Republic and be taken care of with kindness! Excellent Full Service hotel.
Our stay at Hotel Alwyn was excellent. The room was super clean, very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The room was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the the balcony. The daily breakfast was great and we enjoyed the restaurant for an evening dinner. The location of the hotel is very convenient if you are using public transportation. The metro station is about a 10 minute walk away. I would recommend Hotel Alwyn to anyone visiting Prague. We would stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Prague.

I was struck by the camaraderie which existed amongst staff in this hotel - this makes such a difference to the ambience of the accommodation. My room was large and spacious with windows which could be opened to allow fresh air to enter. The meals/cocktails that I had were most enjoyable and I enjoyed my conversations with all. I recommend this hotel, it is close to a tram stop which accesses all areas of interest and had a welcoming atmosphere when I returned at the end of a day's sightseeing.

Great value, good location, cool neighborhood
I stayed here four weeks during a training course and found the Alwyn to be a very clean, comfortable hotel in a cool neighborhood and thought it was a terrific value and I would definitely stay here again. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom and a remote control air conditioner, which was a godsend during the summer heat wave. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a nice array of cold and hot options. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel and rooms were kept immaculate. The location is also great on a quiet street. The surrounding Karlin neighborhood has a lot of good dining options, and the hotel is right around the corner from the Dva Kohouti microbrewery/taproom, which was a cool spot to hang out after work or after dinner and draws locals from all over Prague. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the Florenc bus station, which is also where the Metro yellow and red lines intersect, making it very easy to get around the city. I often took the tram right around the corner from the hotel one or two stops and transferred to the Metro or bus, which made it very easy to get into the city center in 15-20 minutes. The Amboseli Restaurant in the hotel is pretty good; it’s usually packed at lunch time during the week but not busy at dinner. The fitness center was probably about what you’d expect in a small hotel, but there’s a nice walking/cycling path along the river maybe 400 meters from the hotel, so most days I just ran on that.

Hotel Alwyn Prague
Hotel is nice, room clean and bed comfortable with aircon, breakfast included with enough choices for everyone. Staff friendly and location not too far from old town, surrounding area has some nice restaurants. Tram stop is two minutes walk from hotel, metro just a six minutes walk, i would stay again if visit Prague next time.

Great hotel in a a great neighborhood
Loved this property. Although a couple of Kms from the centre it was in a quiet area full of great cafes & had everything we needed. Parking on the street out the front was easy (free on Sundays only) and the rooms were very clean & comfortable.

Lovely small hotel, would come back.
I really liked the hotel. It is small and cozy, clean and the staff is super nice and friendly. The location is 20 minutes of walking from the old town of Prague or 5 minutes to the nearest metro station. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the AC in the room was without a remote and I could not use it. I was told that during some periods of the year, the AC is not available...

The rooms are very very basic and compared to the price....its expensive. It is in no way a 4 star as it claims to be. No 24 hours room service, no bath tub. Doesn't qulify for a 4 star. a basic 2.5 to 3 stars maybe.
