Everyone was friendly and attentive. For the first time traveling alone like this they made me feel at ease. I will be coming back to and staying here. Felt right at home. I can not rave about the staff and the experience enough.

Love this hotel
Beautiful 16th century building , with helpful friendly staff. Great location 5mins walk to lesser town , close enough for the buzz and far enough to be peaceful Special call out to Stan who took care to verify transport infor to the station for me.

Stay here! You will not be disappointed!
This hotel was fantastic in so many ways. People: the staff was kind, attentive, professional, helpful…everything a staff should be. They arranged transport, gave directions, and gave us a tour of the entire hotel. Services: the food was great every day, with fantastic outdoor and indoor seating, and we tried the brunch which we loved. We also got a couples massage in their beautiful spa. It made us want to stay for another week. Finally, there was wine and cheese every afternoon, featuring their own branded wine, which we loved. Location: the hotel is right next to the American embassy, meaning total security and a police presence 24/7. We’ve never felt safer. Rooms: the room was impeccable. Impeccable. Clean, unique, and spacious. The hallways were quiet and far from the party noise in Prague. That being said, we were also close enough to walk almost anywhere.

Great Service!
This was such a perfect place to stay, right next to American Embassy in the Mall Strana. We could walk everywhere. Plenty of food and drink choices nearby. The restaurant and spa at hotel were fantastic. Service could not be beat! Every single person bent over backward to make sure we had an excellent stay.

At the time of the booking a swimming pool was touted as one of the attractive features of the hotel. It was the reason I had chosen the hotel in the first place, despite its rather steep price. Alas, the pool was closed during my stay and no effort was made to compensate for this. The hotel is comfortable in relevant respects--the bathrooms, beds, privacy, quiet. The owners appear to have gone out of their way to acquire antique furniture--lots of it, which makes for a cluttered place.

We had an amazing time at the Alychymist Grand Hotel & Spa - we loved the beautiful building and furnishings, the hotel staff were lovely and extremely kind and helpful. As soon as we arrived we felt very welcomed and that continued throughout our stay. We absolutely loved the hotel and would highly recommend it - breakfast was excellent - lots of choice. As you can tell we had a brilliant stay at the hotel.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel needs a refresh. Robes are frayed, hair blower is at the lower end of quality as are the bath products. Dust was evident in the corners. The staff, however, are wonderful and work hard to making you feel welcomed.

From the moment we arrived we loved this property. We were greeted at the door and asked to be seated in the lounge while we were being checked in. Pavel served a welcome cocktail. We reserved the family suite. It was meticulous and spacious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The spa was divine.

Lack of a/c was a drawback but I get it. I’m scrambling to find a fault. Staff is outstanding, top of the line. Room was gorgeous. The hill isn’t that bad to climb and at least you’re away from the crowds. We’d do it again in a heartbeat

My husband and I loved Alchymist so much that we decided to return for two nights at the end of our Eastern European trip, after spending several days there when we first arrived. Service was superb at reception and the restaurant. Spa options were topnotch. The location was great---on the "quiet" side of the river, but a short walk from the craziness of Charles Bridge. We've stayed at Claridge's in London and the Peninsula in Hong Kong, but Alchymist rivals either one. We'll be back!

The Alchemist is a fabulous property located in a great location in Praha. The staff was attentive and professional. The suite we stayed was wonderful. We will return to the Alchemist.

Can’t Beat this Hotel on Any Metric
Great location. Delicious and expansive breakfast. Comfortable and pleasing furnishings. Good amenities. The concierge staff was most helpful with reservations and directions. We highly recommend this hotel.

Overall a disappointing experience at this hotel. It is not a 5 star property. The air conditioning in our room did not work properly and when we asked for a fan they said they would look into it and then there was no follow up. Other guests we met had the same problem and changed rooms only to find that the air did not work well in that room either. The noise in our room from the street was very loud and I could not sleep during my stay. The complimentary wine and cheese reception in the afternoon was nice but the staff walked back and forth checking their watches and immediately removed everything at precisely 5:00 on the dot.

Dear Guest, At first I would like to express our gratitude for choosing the Alchymist Grand Hotel and spa for your stay in Prague. I have been informed by my colleagues from reception about your complaint about the air-condition issues and noise from the Břetislavova street. I am truly sorry for such inconvenience and I apologize on behalf of our team for all these matters, that unfortunately affected negatively your stay with us. I spoke with the manager of Technical department. We will change the air-condition unit in that Junior suite as soon as possible. I have also complained to the supplier about the truck coming very soon to the hotel and their staff making unacceptable noise, that disturbed our clients. They have confirmed the delivery will start not earlier than at 8:30 am onwards. Also they apologized for the issue caused by their employees. I have tried to approach you via email a day after your departure, but I have never obtained any response to our apology and proposed compensation. Please, do not hesitate to contact us directly, we will be grateful for any feedback you may provide. With much appreciation

The hotel is amazing, so unique, so quaint and yet full of old school character. All of the staff working at the Alchymist were fantastic, each and every person who we interacted with were beyond gracious, so warm, so welcoming and so kind to myself, my wife and our young daughter. They were all sincerely helpful and hospitable (Vicktor, Michael and many others) and made our stay at the hotel one of our favorite hotel stays ever. My wife says it is her favorite hotel on the planet - high praise for sure and we are quite well traveled - I am Irish, my better half is British and our daughter is San Franciscan, California where we all live now. The rooms at the Alchymist were amazing, the food is delicious (breakfast and dinner) and the civility as portrayed by everyone working within the hotel will always be remembered fondly by our trio of happy guests. Thank you Alchymist and thank you Prague. We hope to return one day.
