What a beautiful location. Our Deck off our room had a beautiful view of the Ocean, Mountains and Texada Island. Our room was large and comfortable. Amenities are a few steps away -Bistro, Restaurant and Liquor store are attached to the building.

I absolutely loved the overall experience about the place, the ocean view, clean and fair size room with the balcony. The Seasiders restaurant on the property is a great place to eat, with wonderful staff and delicious food. Besides all of the great things the place has to offer, it needs an overall update. All put into consideration I would come back and stay here again without any hesitation.

No soap in the room, not enough water pressure to wash off soap, 2 inch gap under the door (you could see the parking lot) very noisy furnace that made it impossible to hear the reception to ask for soap and water pressure, TV did not work either. Horrible place to stay, because they would not bring soap or adjust the water pressure or fix the TV they said I was harrasing them and called the police to remove us then they charged me for the room and the $200- damage deposit AND will not refund my visa.

The entry from the street is difficult to navigate at night because some roads and laneways have been closed, and the route from the street through a huge sloped parking lot is not well marked. The resort sits at the bottom of a hill, and it's a long uphill walk to the street. Otherwise, no complaints. Staff is friendly and helpful; the place is clean and modern. I've stayed here twice in 2023 and a couple of times many years ago. It's my hotel of choice in Powell River.

Needs work
The obvious reasons why people would stay at this hotel are the view. Other than that this hotel needs a lot of work. The grounds leave something to be desired especially the driveway from the road to the hotel it was like a maze in the dark it was very poorly lit someone would never know where you were going. Next the air conditioning/heating units were so loud but you could not watch TV or sleep with them on I would have turn mine off at night. The Internet was very unreliable there’s no excuse for this in the 21st-century.

Loved the view. It just cant be beat. Property is slowly making improvments which is wonderful. Rooms could use a fresh update. The biggest issue would be the parking lot/road down to the hotel is horrible.

Front staff that greeted us were really friendly. The king ocean view rooms we had were clean but spartan. Sadly the place is a bit dated and needs a renovation to make it worth the rate. We got breakfast vouchers but the selection was minimal.
