"The property was clean, view was beautiful, location perfect and staff were excellent! The room was great and spacious. The breakfast was also very good. Our only complaint was that we spent extra money on this hotel for a particular room which was to include a loveseat and a large tub wth a view (both clearly shown in a picture when we reserved). Our room did not have the large tub or the loveseat. The room was excellent, however, we paid the extra money for these amenities and did not receive them, making the room not the value for what we paid. They informed me that they had received this complaint from others and changes the pictures but this did not help us. Having said all of this, I would still highly recommend this hotel."

"Hotel is stunning. The spa indoor and outdoor pools are a must visit each day. The sunset at night was breathtaking. 10-30 min drive to about of tourist spots or meeting points for adventures. Hotel sits across from a grocery store and a beach behind with people surfing daily. The dining room offered a variety of breakfast options and dinner was great as well. Recommend the mushroom risotto and mojitos. Very clean friendly staff."

"Amazing place to stay in Furnas!!! After hours "exclusive" access to two main attractions on the island - thermal pool and botanical garden - is something no other place can compete with. In addition it is a beautiful, high-end artdeco hotel in immaculate condition and great staff. Great restaurants on premises, though places in town are great too - much cheaper and way more authentic."

"The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the mattress was hard as a rock and you could feel all the springs. Otherwise this was such an excellent stay. Easy walk into the historic town centre. Very clean. Beautiful ocean views. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was great. The pool was so cute and a nice bar next to it to have a cocktail next to the pool. Overall such a wonderful experience."

"Hotel was in walking distance to many places in the city. Amenities were very adequate. Front desk staff and custodial staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even arranged taxi for us. Breakfast was very good, offered an excellent variety of foods, and a continental breakfast beginning at 5 am for folks with early departures. Dining room supervisor was helpful in getting ice for me. One waitress was quite unfriendly. I highly recommend this hotel."

"I was solo travelling. Stayed for a week. I liked the location. Downside is breakfast not included and parking not included. Upside is there is a great grocery store next door and parking on street is free you just need to find spot. Location is good access to highways for sightseeing the island. Hotel overall is good. I would suggest booking ahead to get better pricing and be specific to request bed type (ie: king/queen size single bed instead of two singles)."
