"Room was comfortable and clean. Could do with body lotion in the bathroom. Pool area, sauna and steam room all good and clean. Nice breakfast but 9.30am today some of the buffet was poorly stocked and I was met with a grumpy response when I asked if there was any more fried bread"

"Fantastic hotel!! Close to park, restaurants, cool coffee shops and bars. Hotel itself has a BYOB bar area with loads of amenities that are all free to use including pool table tennis and table football. Sky sports on a massive screen and a kitchen to keep your beer and wine chilled. We had a family room which was very spacious with a spotless ensuite bathroom. Room had tea and coffee and the lovely owners really make you feel very welcome. This boutique hotel is great for families and couples...

"If you've ever served in the forces you'll think you've walked back into one of the messes. Its full of as you'd expect Naval touches and great because of it. It has loads of quirks to it from a peaceful reading room library to a small pool what's not to like. Hey its a bit dated but personally that was part of the charm. As for location, couldn't be much better for the historic dockyard/gunwharf quays/train station/ferry. I will be staying there again."

"A very comfortable stay with a great room on level 6 providing a view of greater Portsmouth (views of Portchester Castle). Great amenities in the room. Good gym with plenty of equipment though pool /

was not in order and being renovated. Recommended for those with a vehicle as parking is available and close to main roads M27 etc. "

"Provides every need for a basic trip. We were in Portsmouth to visit family and it was a nice hotel to stay in after a long day of socializing with all the necessary needs. Also, they have a pool table! PS. The bathroom is small but it's not THAT small."
