"The property was located close to everything- could walk to the marina and activités. Both restaurants were excellent. Staff was efficient and friendly. Room was clean, well appointed and spacious."

"If you’re on a budget then suck it up and use them but be prepared for hardship. It smells like smoke and urine. No overnight room service for towels or etc. Breakfast is sad. Not recommended for families or children young in age. They will do their best to make things work. Pool needs to be cleaned. Otherwise housekeeping staff is fantastic!!!"

"The hotel is very well located in Downtown Norfolk, making it convenient for restaurants, attractions, and exploring the area. The property could benefit from some renovations and updates. The customer service staff were friendly and courteous; however, they were unable to resolve an issue involving a supposed double check-in that appeared in their system when there was actually only one stay. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again for a couple of nights...

"The hotel was nice and in a good location for going on a cruise out of norfolk. Our TV in the room did not work. They gave us free breakfast to make up for it, which was nice."

Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). "Nice clean rooms. Pretty view of the water from the restaurant, and easy walk to the water taxi. Great breakfast buffet. Just beware of promises for adjoining rooms or specific room types next to each other. Normally we can be flexible, but this trip it mattered and wasn't fulfilled."

"Had the best stay at Decoy's!!!! Cottage #1 exceeded our expectations - THE VIEW!!! the adorable decor, the most comfortable bedding... I could not recommend this place more. The area is super safe and kid-friendly. The cottages do not have front desk staff available in person, but everyone we spoke to over the phone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We made the most beautiful memories here in the cottages with our family - 5 stars all around. Thank you, Decoy's!"

"This was a nightmare. There’s no hot tub although it says it is. You can see where they used to have one but it’s closed down. They also hold $100 on a card for incidentals although all hotels don’t. They serve breakfast 6am - 9am although other hotels serve breakfast until 10am with fresh fruits available throughout the day and evening. Highs of 90+ degrees and the staff member wouldn’t give a complimentary water bottle unless you were an ihg member although other hotels don’t mind. The room...

"Check in at 3am have been traveling all night to check in my room and it wasn't clean, had to sit in the lobby after driving almost 6 hours. Then after cleaning the room she only made the beds, then had to get wash clothes and towels after waiting, look under the beds and it was trash under both beds."
