Perfect for Beach and Barhopping

Check-in was easy. We were in a remodeled home, so a common hallway with a few rooms. The hallway and stairs smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Admittedly, I am very sensitive to it. The room was fine. The shower was dirty and we did not shower there. We were on the second floor and there was a machine or something on all night below the bathroom that made the room vibrate/buzz. Overall this would be a perfect room for a 20- something that is spending 12 hours at the beach then bar hopping and only needs a place to sleep. This was our first night out since having kids 4 years ago and for this price, I should have done my research more. Would not stay again, but if you are looking for only a bed and a safe location, this is the place for you.

Very poor customer service. After several hours of driving, we arrived to the place, and our room was occupied by someone else. They did not comply with their checkin time policy and made us wait for more than an hour until they manage to solve the issue. No compensation was offered. No recommended at all.

The distance to the beach and boardwalk was OK. The room was OK with a small TV. The water got luke warm, the drain in the tub didn't work very well(kids couldn't really take a bath), and the ventilation in the bathroom was poor. For the quantity paid for the room, I was disappointed in the quality. On top of all that, they charged my credit card the day I got there for more than what I booked in Expedia. When I got back home, I confirmed that I paid Expedia and them. I promptly called them and left a voicemail for a refund. I am still waiting for a response. I was there on 9/2/2022.

I did not realize the front desk closed at 6:00 pm when I booked the reservation but they were nice enough to work with me to arrange for late check in. That said, the directions to the room were not clear (it was inside an unmarked building), there were no towels for the shower, and blinds to window at street level did not fully pull down over window.

Our beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean. The owner Patti helped us immediately when we had a bit of trouble with the TV. (We are older, tech challenged!) The hotel is located just a 12 minute walk to the Old Orchard Beach amusement area, where there are rides and food galore. I think the place is slowly getting a makeover with the new owners, and with a little paint and leaf blowing the porches, the outside will look as nice as the inside!

Parking is very tight, and the tiny pool is located on the other side of the road and shared by another property (Marvin Gardens) owned by the same people/company. No one was in the office when we arrived around 6PM and they just left the key to the room in the door, which is more like a bedroom in a shared home with its own private bathroom attached (The shower was very nice though).

I enjoyed the area this lodge was in and that parking was right out front. Unfortunately, that’s about all the pros I have. The check-in was stressful as I received a call at 6pm that the staff will be leaving in a few minutes and that we must check in by then. I must mentioned that check-in was listed as 3pm-8pm! It was a good thing we were already down the street and we were able to make it on time. The room itself was not cleaned — crumbs were left on the table, shower floor felt sticky, dust all over the fan and furniture, etc. At one point, I needed an extra towel but there was no one in the office to help us. Instead there was a sign saying that staff will be on site at 2pm. Overall, I would not recommend saying at this lodge with all things considered.

Noisy. Was put in the room next to the loud slamming exit door. Nothing had been done about echo. Bed was broken and quiet literally caved in. Toilet paper roll holder was broken. Could feel sand in the bed and I hadnt been to the beach.

There were only two rooms on the side we had our room. The upstairs rooms accessed the building from the other side. Some of the rooms were in cabins. The room had a mini kitchenette. The pool is across the street at the other property they own. The beach is a bit of a distance but visible down the street but it was too hot to walk so we drove there. The front desk person was only there till 6 but gave us three numbers to call if we needed anything. Overall it was clean, air conditioned and had Wi-Fi and cable tv. The bed was extremely squeaky every time you sat on it or turned over but comfortable enough. We were happy to stay there for the night.

Longue attente pour s’enregistrer, il y avait personne à l’office. Le patron à donné mon stationnement à quelqu’un d’autre pendant mon absence. TRÈS BRUYANT car notre chambre était sur le bord de la rue. En général c’est propre. J’estime que la valeur ne vaut pas le montant payé, d’ailleurs dans la région de Old Orchard beach les hotel ont augmenté leurs prix de plusieurs fois la valeur réelle. Je ne retournerai jamais dans cette région…
