Upon booking what appeared to be a promising accommodation via Expedia, I arrived at the Pepper Tree Inn with expectations of a pleasant stay. Initially greeted by courteous staff member Nikki, who was delightful and kind, but never gave me warning. My experience took an unfortunate turn when a power outage occurred throughout the entire premises, unbeknownst to me due to street construction. I sought assistance in the pitch black dark of the night, and was told by Pablo, that it i should have been informed about the power outage posted (now in the dark) and at checkin. Unfortunately, all he could do was note my name, but stated that i could speak with management in the morning who could help with compensation, discount or otherwise. Despite returning the following morning seeking recourse, the manager Michelle immediately and adamantly refused any form of resolution, citing a single posted print out notice (off to the side of the counter) as justification. She stated that i should have read it instead of the staff needing to point it out. Dismissive communication and failure to address the inconvenience effectively reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. Regrettably, I received no compensation nor alternative arrangements, but rather a dismissive response with a smile. It is with disappointment that I relay my experience and advise against patronizing the Pepper Tree Inn, as their approach to customer care leaves much to be desired.
