Top Porter Lagoon Hotel Reviews
Battunga Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Peaceful and relaxing. Generous provisions"
Paxton Square Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Burra is a beautiful small town, the units are very good , spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff are most helpful and I would recommend it to anyone."
Bed in a Shed
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful little spot, delicious breakfast provisions - locally made."
Bentley's Hotel
8/10 Good
",A reasonable place the room was good with a sp,a and a comfortable bed. We could order meals from the pub and have then delivered. It didn't get quite until after 12. Due to the pub raging until late. But it was Saturday night."
Royal Exchange Hotel Burra
8/10 Good
"Itโs a rustic stay but my bed was comfy. The pub itself was great"
Riesling Trail and Clare Valley Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Yes but wasnโt clued up about the Tetla for cooking. It was a portable hot plate so we used the electric frypan to cook our breakfast. Great breakfast too. But everything else was great, loved our stay very clean and calm music was lovely when we arrived. Location fantastic right next to HIRE BIKES and the Riesling Trail. "
Clare Hillside Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely apartments very close to town and everything you need but still peaceful. Loved the balcony with fly screens! TV is huge and works from the sofa or bed. The only things that could be improved are providing salt and pepper, more than two mugs and turning off the automatic light in the bathroom (it's just too bright if you need the loo in the night). "
Reillys Wines Heritage Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed in the Pay Office cottage and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was generously stocked so we had what we needed to start our days well. The complimentary wine let us finish the day just as well. The location was very convenient for exploring the surrounding wineries. We would definitely stay again. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no wi-fi available and cell phone coverage is spotty."
Bungaree Station
10/10 Excellent
"Stay here! A unique, completely comfortable and enjoyable stay. Bungaree Station is a still-functioning sheep farm, founded in 1841 and still run by descendants of the founders. By the 1850s and 1860s, the flourishing farm was something of a town, with housing for workers and managers, a store, church, community buildings, etc. Many of those original buildings are now converted into boutique and highly unique accommodations. I stayed in a former stable, now a lovely free standing little cottage with a modern bathroom, dependent on rainwater, adjoined to the historical building. It was quiet, comfortable and lots of fun. Even the Wifi worked great! They fill your refrigerator with the ingrediants for breakfast. For other meals, you can buy onsite provisions for barbeques or drive into town. Notably, the property also functions as an interesting and very well curated museum, which as an overnight guest, you can wander around and visit at your leisure, including the beautiful, historic church accessed by a code on a lock box. The whole experience was super fun. The flocks of birds were amazing, and I only wished I could have stayed longer. Highly recommended and very memorable. "
