This place was run efficiently and the room was fantastic. Large space, fantastic memory foam mattress, lots of hot water and the view from the dining room was great. The breakfast was amazing. If you’re lucky, you might get to pet the gorgeous Bengal on the property.

It was very nice, the owner/manager was very friendly and answered any question we had. I called earlier to let him know we would be a bit late on arriving and there was no problem. I also enjoyed hearing a rain whistle and watch the train go by. Hadn't heard a train for many years.

Basic hotel. Train tracks right next to it so the trains are super loud. A little too pricey considering that.

Fantastic find! It’s not your cookie cutter motel, so much thought has gone into each room. There is an on-site cafe. They serve delicious homemade food. We enjoy a wonderful breakfast during our stay.

Railroad track runs right through the property. You will need to pay close attention when booking. Fortunately the trains stop after a certain time though we stayed on a weekend which may have helped. Share an adjacent wall, when the neighbor takes a shower, you will hear this.

The room was very clean, there was a porch attached to the building and you parked in front of the room. TV, wifi worked well. Restaurant was there, no free breakfast and did not eat there. It was ok, but would not stay there again. Nice gentleman checked us in.

Fantastic stay in this hidden gem of cape Breton. Seriously, this motel worth the stay. Clean sheets, towel and bathroom and fantastic breakfast with a perfect view on the bay. Port Hawkesbury has a lot to offer. This motel has 10 rooms. You might expect a dusty and old style room? Nooo. New matress, flat screen TV satelitte, small fridge and microwave. We stayed 2 days and if I knew this place before, I would have stayed longer.

A perfect hidden gem!!
I have never been in a cleaner more sanitary room ever!! That includes the big expensive hotel chains!! We arrived late in a storm and the owner waited up until we arrived. When I walked into the room there’s a fresh clean smell that hit me. We stayed in #7 which had a big king bed and a nice flatscreen with satellite channels. Our room had a spotless microwave and refrigerator. The room is by no means big I would call it cozy and intimate, perfect for my husband and I. The room was painted a very bright white which made the smaller space seem large and cheery. My only regret was we didn’t get to go to breakfast but I have a feeling it’s wonderful as it’s inside their little cafe. We only stayed one night but my husband and I will go back when we have time for ourselves!!

The breakfast is awesome. We have stayed here before. Bed was very comfortable. I would like to have had a lamp on both sides of the bed for reading. Liked the night light in the bathroom though. Hosts are very accommodating.
