Only stayed one night but Brighton Lodge is a comfortable and pleasantly quirky place to stay. All the staff were lovely and helpful but Claudette in particular was a cheerful joy.

Brighton Lodge Cracking Stay

Great accommodation. We had the 2 bedroom apartment which was brilliant for us. Breakfast great also. Claudette who ran the lodge was really helpful and friendly as well.

Fine but not homely.

Really a stop over after a flight. Room was massive and would sleep 4. Typical guest house with cooking facilities in room. This makes it a less comfortable room to stay in.

B&B in excellent location in Summerstrand within walking distance of a good selection of restaurants, De Kelder being the best of these. Staff were really friendly and helpful , breakfast was good and the room we had was pretty good albeit a little bit quirky with the internal wooden doors leading to the bath/shower. We stayed for 6 nights - easy access to Humewood and Port Elizabeth Golf Clubs, Addo elephant park is less than an hour away and Cape Recife is well worth visiting.

Fomos super bem recepcionados pela Claudette. Ambiente familiar e aconchegante e preocupação com detalhes. Quarto amplo com camas confortáveis, ótimo chuveiro e uma grande banheira. Super confortável. Boa localização para ir à pé para a praia, ao Boardwalk Casino e ao 8th Ave Mall.

Lovely and comfortable house

Very very Kindly Greeting and explain information around Hotel. Comfortable couch and Bed, interior. Great Location for tour, beach, shore, shopping. Perfect Security In and Out house. Breakfast also Nice. But The toilet basin in ground outside room need a check because of little bit a smell. Very nice and peaceful, Lovely house. I will use again. Strongly recommend!!

Spacious Family Room With Lots of Extra Touches

The staff were warm and welcoming and very chatty. They settled us in and helped organise our stay in Port Elizabeth. The breakfast was amazing, with a great choice of food and drinks. The lodge also organised gluten free options for my wife. They were very accomodating, allowing us to store our luggage and freshen up even after we had checked out. Lots of extras were provided, such as pillow chocolates, tea, coffee and biscuits. Great bathtub in the family room too!

Excellent place and superb service

Very nice place, excellent staff that really do their best to make you feel at home. I went to PE for business reasons, but hope to return someday for pleasure, and in such case I pretend to lodge again there!
