"WHAT a discovery! I loved my stay at Canalside -- the room was beautifully updated, but still had those historic squeaky wooden floors that remind everyone to be a little quieter (it worked!). The coffee maker produced great morning joe; the shower got hot almost immediately; the bed linens were soft and the towels were a perfect blend of absorbent and scratchy. "The rooms are very clean and the staff does an excellent job of being hospitable and keeping the property clean. The breakfast is just okay. Very questionable breakfast meat and the scrambled eggs were over done. Also the pool is very low. Only 3 feet 6 inches. Besides the breakfast and the pool, very nice place to stay. It’s in an isolated location so no restaurants/attractions nearby. Just a heads up."

This visit The TV was busted, the shower curtain wasn't working.There was just so many little things in the room that could have been fixed.We were a little disappointed. I just feel like the hotel just needs a little bit of sprucing up or a makeover. But the staff are always lovely and the rooms are always clean."
