Islay House

Islay House

8/10 Good
"The property definitely needs some updating, it is a little bit on the rundown side, but it has absolutely stunning and well maintained grounds, which I highly recommend taking the time to explore. The House is unique and has a lot of potential. Staff was quite helpful and our room was very clean. Itโ€™s definitely off the beaten path so expect to walk a little bit for a bus stop or pre-reschedule a taxi. Do not rely on Uber on the island. So make sure to plan ahead and decide where you want to have meals. Breakfast at the property is good, but there is not an on-site restaurant in no room service. You need to make sure that you are selecting a restaurant in town and booking a table."

The Colonsay Hotel

The Colonsay Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Couldnโ€™t fault the property or the staff. The amenities are as best as you could expect in such a small island. Manager was very helpful and chatty I would recommend the Colonsay Hotel for shorts stays , not because there is anything wrong with it , the staff , ir the island but it is a small island and there is only so much you can do. Beaches are stunning and so is the walk across The Strand to the Isle of Oransay"
