"The location was very good for a quiet break & watching the chair ferry and other boats from the restaurant was interesting. The very small lift was not very reliable for those who needed it & took a number of goes to get it to work when leaving with our cases. The ‘courtyard’ view from our room was into the inner part of the hotel & was quite noisy when bottles were being disposed of.
There was a limited menu in the restaurant which was the same all week. We only managed to find a couple of nearby places to eat, neither of which were within comfortable walking distance.
The hotel itself is clean & comfortable & the staff were friendly."
"Location was fantastic, room was clean but could do with modernising as it was a bit dated. Staff were very good. Value for money probably not but once it's been shown a bit of love and attention it would be well worth it."
"Great location, less than 30 seconds to the quay. Room had everything you'd expect from a b&b. Fabulous breakfast, there was even an option of standard or large size! Would stay again if we're in the area. Friendly, welcoming host."
"Free parking was really great. They included some breakfast which we didn't expect. Was clean and tidy and the room was restocked with water, coffee, milk ect. Only negative comments are, room was too small, had to put our cases in my van. Was too hot and the fan was a waste of time. No window in the bathroom, our bed sqeaked everytime we moved. Not right sure how it's got excellent rating. The owner didn't even speak to us when we walked past her when we checked out. Thanks kev wareing"
"Really great room with a relaxed pub below in a really nice location close to the beach. The staff were absolutely incredible, so welcoming and helpful and really made you feel like a valued guest from the second you walked in the door to the time we left. Breakfast had a good variety and was excellent quality. Would highly recommend this place"
