"All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's owner, Konstantin Kostov, was particularly impressive. Always there, it seemed, and he also gave an excellent talk about the Roman baths underneath the hotel. Whatever I asked of him, he always went the extra yard. Any criticism? I had to work hard to come up with one: the fridge in my room was not cold enough!"

"This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old...

"Charming hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. Location is perfect for visiting old and new Plovdiv. Very friendly and helpful owner. We had to leave early for the bus to Velikov and the owner arranged for an (homemade) early breakfast and a taxi to the bus-station."

"I enjoyed the my room in the these quaint historic hotel with atmosphere. My bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. I especially enjoyed sitting out in the back patio and garden. It is a wonderful location in old town Plovdiv and a quick few minutes to the bustling Kapana area with shops and restaurants "

"Rent, fräscht hotell med mkt bra incheckning, vi kom för tidigt men inga problem att få rummet. Glada städare som hejar glatt. Vatten på rummet, vattenkokare/kaffemaskin och vatten på flaska. Luftigt rum, superfräscht badrum. Bra, centralt läge i kombination tyst omgivning. "

"Absolutely wonderful hotel. Morden, a lot of natural light, very good restaurant right next to the hotel. Breakfast is fantastic. Stuff is nice, respectful and helpful. Beds are comfy, mattress are firm. This hotel is truly great!"

"Excellent breakfast. Gluten free and dairy free products available at breakfast. Large room with a large bathroom. Food at restaurant is clearly labelled with allergens. We ate atthe restaurant three times. Food was always good and well presented using fine ingredients. The whisky room ambiance was very cosy with a large wood fireplace heating the room. "
