"We had a nice time and enjoyed our time at Villa del Sol. The the hotel was quaint, in a great location, close to the beach and restaurants. The common areas were nice and relaxing. The guests we had contact with were friendly. The staff was very friendly! Our overall experience was good. We would stay here again. The only thing that kept us from giving a excellent review we that the bed was a bit too soft and should be updated."

"We stayed a week and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located near everything you need and the beach view was memorable. The shower! The shower! The shower! We have been trying to figure out how to make our shower at home, like the hotel shower."

"Great spot for a conference, excellent customer service and atmosphere. Views are breathtaking. Waterpark is amazing for kids. Food is the only thing that needs improvement."

"Not very clean and bathroom faucet was not installed correctly, but did offer a kitchenette and laundry, but we did not use either. Much of the furniture was worn /damaged and we had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed."

"Not the Value for money I thought it would be. The walk to the kiosks is close (15min) Room was not great. Bed hard. TV didnt work. There is better out there. "

"We had exceptional service in the pool area bar and Papaya Fernando and Pedro were absolutely fantastic, the first night there though we had a waiter ignore us for about 20 minutes after we sat down to have dinner and a cocktail finally my husband got up and went to the bartender and asked for drinks, then we finally ordered food, my husbands cheeseburger came out and he was finished eating and we were still waiting for my small pizza, we had to ask about the food and if they ordered it for me, I was going to sign up for the Marriott rewards program but this made me think about it and decided not to, we spoke to the manager and they were very kind we are not sure if we will go back"

"No one to greet us on arrival, not that big of a deal but was a red herring of what was to come. Staff made an error in placing a hold on our card on arrival and so we kept having daily unexplained charges on our cc including bar and restaurant charges that were not ours. Additionally they put an extra 500$ hold on our card again even after speaking with management. Needless to say it wasn’t a relaxing stay wondering if we were going to end up paying a huge bill that wasn’t ours. Staff was rude while dealing with this situation. Also, for the price the beds and pillows were not comfortable. Power went out one night and then internet as well which is a bummer when we were watching a movie. Staff in general seemed uninterested in helping guests. They must pay terribly which is sad for what they are charging guests. "
