"The room itself was clean and spacious, however the shower was impossible to operate without getting the bathroom floor wet. The hotel only issued us with 2 toilet rolls for a 7 night stay and when we requested more as 2 rolls didn't last long with 2 people were told to wait until the next day. They did however give us a box of tissues. Towels were also something we had to request and room service was done only once during 7 nights.
The fire alarm went off twice, 2 nights in a row whilst we were there and the reception staff were very uninterested just saying false alarm when you got down to reception. Seems to be a regular occurance as on our way back to the room apparently it had happened a couple of nights earlier as well but we were out.
I really enjoyed the pool, a bit colder than the sea but the provided loungers were comfortable. There was however a dead rat next to my partners lounger which we informed the staff of.
The Sports Bar staff were hit and miss. If they only spoke French then it was very hard to communicate if you couldn't also speak fluent French. But I guess being in a French speaking country you must expect that to a degree.
The other thing to note is the entrance to the Ramada by Wyndham is on the back roads so to get to the beach its a 5 - 7 min walk either left or right. The onsite shop was reasonably priced compared to the other walkable shops. But would recommend a Zygo to Michel-Ange Supermarket for better priced supplies."
"Overwater bungalows were amazing, clean, tidy and spacious, with beautiful views and snorkleing with turtles. However the lack of food choices, the expense of food, the seagulls constantly hovering at the restaurant was disappointing, as was the fact the pool bar closed at 3:30pm and they didn't even make your drinks at the bar, they brought them in from the restaurant - it just didn't fit the holiday vibe.
3-4 days in an overwater bungalow would be amazing, but then you are ready to explore the wonderful restaurants back in noumea and have some different food and experiences"
"Positives: Location was excellent, close to restaurants, bars and beach. Staff friendly and helpful
Not so good: Although seems to be in the process of being renovated, rooms were dated and not well maintained. We had to switch rooms due to airconditioner causing a leak in the roof."
"Sara at reception was amazing with assisting me. The rest of the team were all welcoming and friendly. The hotel was quiet and convenient to the down town area."
"Beautiful view of the beach, room was a bit tired, you could tell they were working on improving them. Comfortable enough and in a great location. Although sold as a serviced apartment it’s important to note that the apartments are clearly only serviced on the weekend so if you are staying Saturday to Saturday ensure you plan to accommodate clean towels etc, there is a washing machine."
