Extended Stay America Pittsburgh hotels

"You have two choices upon arrival- tip a valet to park your car or park it yourself and walk across a parking garage and waaaay over to your hotel room. The room was ok. It was clean and very basic. Don’t get excited over the river view as you might just have a parking lot view like we did. The next morning, we went down to get breakfast. We decided to eat out on the porch because it was nice outside. We got our drinks and set them on the table and then realized we couldn’t get back in. The same staff that watched us walk out wouldnt let us back in. One went so far as to type on his phone that we had to use our room key (which we had just turned in). There was no sign warning of that before you walk out of the door. They told us no. And even laughed. We eventually gave up and walked all the way around the building to get back inside. Their manager explained that it was to prevent people from robbing them. We were clearly not trying to do that. It was soooo rude. Nobody was friendly. We felt like an inconvenience to every person there. This was not a good experience and I would definitely not stay there again."

"Clean and very spacious, and the price is absolutely affordable. I doubt any hotel near Pitt can match the price, space and cleanliness. My boy attends Pitt and this will be our default stay from now on"

"$5.35 for a Twix bar when you have a C-store across the street is absolutely ridiculous! That’s price gouging. Doesn’t have a business center with at least 1 computer and printer for travelers who may need access. "

"The hotel was clean and staff was nice. When I travel I get hotels with breakfast included. They said they had breakfast which the guy the checked us in said there would be eggs, yougurt, muffins, oatmeal. When i came down at 7 there was only oatmeal and muffins. They had no bowls or silverware for oatmeal or hot water to use on oatmeal. Came back down at 8 same thing was disappointed in false advertisement"

"Quaint, historical property located minutes away from CMU and Pitt buildings. Well equipped with modern amenities. We will definitely be back!"

"It's a very nice hotel. The rooms are a bit small but perfect for what they are. The bathroom was very clean. The staff are extremely helpful with any questions you may have. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It's really close to downtown and within walking distance to almost anything you need."
