"This was my third visit and it’s the reason I return to Scotland. The property is so unique and I always have an amazing time, so much so that I took my nephew from London! The team did a great job looking after us! The lady who checked us in and delivered our breakfast in the morning was a real gem; I can’t remember her name- but she was a genuinely lovely lady and I’m sure it won’t be long until we return!!! The hotel bar in the evening was not too wide a choice and when it got difficult to make a cocktail they stopped serving cocktails and only offered easy serves."

"This one surprised us, was not expecting much. Yes it is older (but so am I), but the rooms have been remodeled, very comfortable, spacious, and spotless clean! The entire staff were wildly helpful (front desk, bar and restaurant.) The street it is on is very cool. We would stay here again, it brings a different vibe than boring chain hotels or tiny closet-like European rooms. Felt like a family business and I am super cool with supporting that."

"“Overall, we had a good stay and the hotel was in a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Considering the area, the price was reasonable and the staff were excellent throughout our visit, very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The main downside was the room temperature. It was a very hot day and unfortunately the room became extremely warm and uncomfortable during the night. A fan was provided, but it was not powerful enough to properly cool the room, which made sleeping difficult.
