The town of Písek is situated on the Otava River, and is around 100 km south of Prague. Decorated with (replica) baroque statues, this is the oldest stone bridge in the Czech Republic.

It does have a similar feel to Charles Bridge in Prague, although there are much less tourists in Písek.

"The hotel was conveniently located, clean, and staff was helpful and friendly. Having a buffet breakfast made and easy and quick start to our day. Room was clean and had nice little amenities. Hotel was an easy flat 15-20 walk from the bus and train stations. The town square was around the corner and also an easy quick walk. "
