nice place, close to the harbour

I felt like a naughty kid for turning up early, but the guy who runs it was very nice. good selection for continental breakfast and an easy walk to everything in town. owner even offered to run us down to the ferry

We had a twin room which was the smallest in the hotel even though we had booked many months previously. The manager did not agree to us changing to the larger lighter room next door. We discovered we had booked earlier than most so it should have been agreed. We are two ladies of a particular age and size. The bathroom drains smelled and were right next to the bed I was in. The shower was dripping so I put a flannel on the floor so it did not keep me awake through the night. The bathroom was tiny like the room. The breakfast was excellent. The owners outside our request to change rooms were polite.

The bed was terrible. no support, and it creaked every time you rolled over. Badly needs replacing but i know there are new owners and they are making improvements.

The accommodation is easy to find and very close to all the local amenities. The room was clean, neat and tidy with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is included in the stay and is self service in the kitchen area. Other than check in I never saw the host/proprietor which some people may find a little unsociable; on the other hand some people may like.

A friendly welcome. Motel is older and in need of refurbishment. Cold throughout but a good heater in the bedroom. The bed was excellent with nice linen. Good continental breakfast but dining area cold. Sky television advertised in room compendium but not available.

We had a great stay -all be it a short one. We didn’t arrive until after midnight and everything was arranged for us to turn up and hop straight into bed. Breakfast was more than adequate and the owners were lovely. Great value for money.

Della was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were spotless, all credit to your cleaner! The dining room had a great view, the table linen was pristine and the breakfast was great. The lodge is centrally located, the only down side can be the limited parking, but there is parking on the street, so advise to get there early.

Good enough for a night. Room was a bit cramped with twin beds, a sink and a small bathroom. But the shower was hot, beds were comfortable and also had a small fridge. Could hear the neighbors and people walking the halls. Location in town was great - walked to the waterfront down High Street to find restaurants.
