Bad room choice
I booked a room but they didn't have it so they gave me another room was too noisy I couldn't sleep near to main road and I told them I really need to switch my room to a different room but they didn't notify the morning g staff and I end up staying waiting for the evening staff to come it was really inconvenient and it made us even more tired not a good experience unfortunately

Ve came 22:00 a clock all the light was closed at the hotel outside and inside the reception , ve through the hotel was locked down. I Can not recommend this hotel for people who coming at Cambodja for first and want to fill save.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotel staff was very friendly. Language was bit of an issue. The location was also very convenient.

The room isnt bad. The gym and spa is fantastic. But the hotel is so cheap they wont turn on the lights in the stairwell or even the hallway during day or night. the staff is really accommodating but the location is too far from anything.

4/5star price for 3star hotel
The gym is a let down and the spa area should open at 7am but they wanted to open it at 10.30am so I had to argue that point which eventuality was accepted. Internet in room is poor. Tv stations do not always work. To shower hot you need to turn taps on it the sink and bath for 5minutes before the shower water is heated. Terrible waste of water. The staff were very nice but lack of European languages including English was hard work. But it was ok

Staff great and helpful. The location is not ideal even though only a short tic tic ride to the tourist area on the riverside. Breakfast ok but a little basic. Overall a good four day break.

Very Wonderful Hotel with Great staff
This was my first time in Cambodia, This hotel was very good, staff is helpful, Breakfast is very great and specially Ms.Sokna in Restaurant was really helpful, she speaks very good English

Nice Hotel, bad location
Very nice hotel with nice looking lobby. Unfortunately, the location is not that great. It's located in an industrial/slum area with not much to do at night except for a KTV nearby if you cross the street and turn left. During the day, if you exit the hotel and turn left, there's a small shop that sells roast duck. Don't bother with the coffee shop across the street. No English, No Menu, and no coffee. There's a 24 hour convenience store next door to the hotel for any food/drink needs you have. The breakfast on the first floor was half decent. Eggs cooked to order and a buffet. I tried to Spa, which was decent. They have a hot/cold jacuzzi and the oil massage was $23 for one hour. There's also a gym with nice equipment. The rooms have 2 bathrobes, which is a nice touch. You can fill the tub with hot water for a nice bath in your room. There's an ethernet port under the desk if the wifi is insufficient. There's also coffee and tea making facilities in the room under the TV.

An overall good experience
The staff was friendly, room clean with good air-conditioning but transport back to the hotel was at times tough as many driver seems to be unfamiliar with the hotel. Best to say near the Cambodia-Japan friendship bridge when explaining to the driver.

Great Hotel close to shops and restaurants
My wife and I stayed for 8 days. The staff were excellent. whilst some had difficulty with English, they made every effort to understand our requests or would get someone who did. All staff were extremely friendly and well mannered. We found our room spacious and clean. the buffet breakfast was excellent catering for all types. the main menu was also excellent and fulfilling. the hotel was close to all shops, restaurants and bars. I can only give praise for this motel and would recommend this to all my friends.

Best Western River Palace Hotel
Good and well maintained hotel although no swimming pool and free spa facilities were for men only. All staff attentive even in the restaurant where I experienced many issues (raw lamb, long wait for one party member and half board problems). That would account for the fact that for dinner the restaurant was either empty or near empty. The G.M. went back on his word after I had called him to discuss the restaurant issues so is not trustworthy. Requires a TukTuk journey to everywhere as location, although on the river is out of the way. V.G. Wifi in room

I just spent about 25 days at the River Palace and I'm sorry to say but the overall experience was disappointing, the only good thing about this hotel is the staff, as most of Cambodians, they are very pleasing, however, at the management level, the hotel is very poorly run. General Management simply doesn't care about guest satisfaction, or what it does to the Best Western brand as a whole, they even try to take advantage of foreigners. So you've been warned. The impression that I left with is that the owner has lots of money to throw around and doesn't care about this business (since he owns the gas station next door) and doesn't even visit the place. It's very sad because the hotel looks good, it's like a rough diamond desperately needing competent people to polish it. Final but not less important, it's weird to have videos of the housekeeping lady on your gopro, that she made while going through your stuff instead of properly cleaning the room. Sorry but I don't recommend it.

Great Hotel with excellent service staffs
Great Service staffs made me feel that I am an important guest and that I am made to feel welcomed. Hotel amenities like hot and cold Jacuzzi, sauna, steam and Gym facilities are all free for usage. Great American and Khmer breakfast to suit all taste buds, some vegetarian options too. Rooms are big and spacious, river view and can see fireworks at night.

This hotel is about a 10 - 15 minute tuk tuk ride to riverside area depending on the hours of the day this can be less. i was leaving for work at 8am arriving 8:15am and the journey back to the hotel leaving 6pm arriving 6:20pm. The breakfast is basic but i am sure everyone will find something to eat there. The gym,spa,sauna,steam and hot and cold jacuzzi is great after a relaxing day also massage is good. the rooms are clean and fresh try to avoid the rooms at the front of the hotel facing the street as its quite noisey. if your looking for bars and pubs probably not the most convienient hotel but its clean and quiet which is what i wanted a happy customer.

Since my wife and I are out for most of the day time and only return in the evening our experience is limited to a quiet evening in which is pleasant enough, until the loud music nearby starts at about 8.00 pm and doe'st end till about 12.30 am. It was really really loud. Hope the hotel management can address this quickly.

fantastic service
come to PP 4 to 5 times a year it is nice to come back to a hotel with daikin air conditioning very rare in this country to have this standard of air conditioning.Hotel is better than others twice the price,have stayed in 14 other hotels in PP in recent years none have matched river palace.Just sorry I did not find it earlier,staff are the best I have seen anywhere.

First when I was arrived early Around 10am the hotel staff was understanding that due to flight time . That why I ask do I need to paid anything if I check in early The hotel staff say no need because they understand that sometime due to flight early . The breakfast was good And the tuk tuk driver was so lovely Stand by every day at the hotel Bring us go any where and is just $15 or $25 per day that was great I will like to stay at this hotel again When I visit Phnom Penh again And I will like to thank the all the hotel staff they were so friendly nice to chat a long and a very very Good service . I were like to say this is not just 3.5 star hotel is more like comeing to 4star or maybe 4.5star
