Maison coloniale au centre de Phnom Penh

En plein centre de Phnom Penh, à deux pas du palais royal, du musée national, dans une rue calme (alors que Phnom Penh est plongé dans un trafic intense),Jean-Luc et son équipe vous accueillent dans un cadre tropical verdoyant, loin de la rumeur. Il est midi; le soleil darde ses plus chauds rayons; la ville s'endort pour quelques heures. Quoi de mieux que de se prélasser autour de la piscine, lovée dans cet écrin de verdure ? Le jardin d'Eden devait ressembler à cela. Le personnel de cet établissement : actif, professionnel, discret et souriant à l'image de la population cambodgienne. Le propriétaire français de cet établissement ?Souriant, discret, de bons conseils.. Adresse et expérience à ne surtout pas manquer, ce serait une erreur de parcours.

Over-rated!

I was for once exchanging my boutique hotel to this lodge, which was more expensive but generousely rated. Big disappointment! Dirty backstreet. Poor room invaded by plenty of flying biting insects. Personnel speaks poor English. Bathroom has no complementary hygiene items. Pool looked nice but not clean. Breakfast was not included... Long live my 'Royal' boutique hotel opposite the Neak Banh Teuk park.

Beautiful and authentic.

Beautiful and calm hotel close to center, hosted in a genuine colonial French house with Khmer style interior. Nice garden and swimming pool. Charming personnel. Excellent service.

Aux trois nuits prévues initialement, nous en avons ajouté deux supplémentaires tant notre séjour a été agréable dans ce superbe lieu, oasis de beauté, de calme et de bon goût, géré par un homme particulièrement affable et cultivé avec le concours d'un staff disponible, efficace et d'unegrande gentillesse.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. Everything was perfect. The owner and all the staff are so so lovely. Great value for money and the pool and gardens are just beautiful. Will always stay there when in Phnom Penh

Convenient location, nice room, friendly staff

I stayed there for 3 nights in low season as a solo traveller, upon my arrival in Cambodia. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was super clean, and I enjoyed the balcony very much, even by the rain. Justbe careful when you consume out of the minibar, they didn't have it right. That's ok. I would go back there if you have the budget. Lucky me, I got a deal.

Good value hotel that was 'gay friendly'

I had room 14, which was in the outer courtyard. It was a double with shower. Everything worked as it should. One thing that could have been better, but can't be rectified easily, would have been to have had power points closer to the bed for charging phones. The hotel had 24 hour friendly securty. English levels were good. Mini bar prices were not extortionate. The room was quite traditional, but certainly was spacious compared to most modern hotels.The Wifi was a bit hit and miss on the first night, but seemed ok after that. The hotel itself was set on a fairly dark street, so if you arrive in an evening, it can feel a bit scary. However once you've found your way around, it's actually ok.. It's close to the Royal Palace, and a number of other tourist attractions. The hotel was also very happy (with the right precautions) to allow visitors to your room. If I went back to PP - I'd be happy to stay there again.

amazing stay

we spend three nights at mystere et mekong, and we had a amazing feeling the hotel is very central and very charming,the rooms are big and clean, with nice furnishing,the rate is low regarding the quality of service,we enjoyed our stay so much that will go to the same hotel company in siem reap

Very friendly staff but hotel needs an overhaul

We got a good deal and stayed just for a day. First the good things..the staff was very helpful and courteous. The location is quite good. Walking distance to royal palace and two minute tuk tuk ride to the riverfront. The hotel is a very charming house and different from run of the mill concrete hotels..but the rooms are quite dark and the fan and AC are not placed near the bed..which I found quite wierd! The shower had a mind of its own turning from very hot to cold. The food is expensive for what it is and the breakfast for 5$ each is not worth the money! In conclusion..the hotel is reasonable if you get a good deal but if you end up paying 50$ there are better options in Phnom Penh

Fin oas i Pnom Penh

Detta hotel, beläget i en gammal fransk kolonialvilla nära det kungliga slottet i Phnom Penh är en liten trevlig oas. Mycket fina rum och en väldigt fin liten trädgård med pool vid hotellet. Granngatan 240 har bla den fina restauranten " Sugar Palm" . Bra frukost och promenadavstånd till ett flertal av Phnom Penhs sevärdheter. Enda nackdel: bli inte rädd för den soppåtervinningsstation som finns på Street 244 där hotellet ligger, soppåtervinning funkar lite annorlunda i Cambodja jämfört med Sverige..

スタッフはフレンドリーだが、冷たいスタッフもいる。基本説明がなかった。シャンプーと石鹸以外のアメニティーがない。バスタブもない。この値段で、スリッパも歯ブラシも朝食もないなんて、コストパフォーマンスが大変低い。夜になると、門に面した道路が真っ暗で怖い。雰囲気が良いだけのホテル。

Decent boutique hotel, Not a great value

This boutique hotel has a nice, shaded pool and a very good breakfast (at an extra cost). It is located on a very quiet side street. The rooms are decent and clean, but the beds are solid as a rock. The hotel staff was not at all accommodating with issues we had, but they were otherwise pleasant and helped us make some travel arrangements. The local friend we were visiting informed us that we could have stayed at a number of different boutique hotels in the area for much less money. We tried a couple of others when we returned to Phnom Penh, and she was right. Mysteres & Mekong is a decent hotel, but there are options for much, much better values in the city.

Goed hotel, dicht bij bezienswaardigheden

Hotel ligt achter het koniklijk paleis. Je hebt echter totaal geen van het stadsgeluid. Hotel voldoet aan alles en personeel is ook behulpzaam.

We found better quality at lower price in Vietnam. Rooms are a bit dark and no comfortable chairs in the room. Breakfast not included. Staff is very helpsome and speak good english.

Beautiful seclusion in the heart of the city

I expected to find a pleasant, traditional hotel when I booked Mysteres and Mekong; what I actually got was a beautiful, exotic retreat in the heart of Phnom Penh. From their initial greeting to the last goodbye, the staff were outstanding; throughout my stay, I was impressed with the attention to detail they had paid in designing, building, and operating this property. Although the entire area around it seems to be in abuilding boom, I hope M&M stays just the way it is now!

Værelset var fint men resten var kedeligt.

Hotellets beliggenhed var godt og det var derfor vi valgte det. Lige i nærheden af Royal palaver, sølvpagodaen og street 240. Da morgenmad ikke er inkluderet spiste vi på "the shop" i street 240 som varmt kan anbefales. Hotellet var ok til prisen. Men i forhold til andre hoteller rundt om i Cambodia havde dette hotel ikke meget at byde på bortset fra beliggenhed.

Excellent stay

This place is a true oasis . The design is very tasteful inside and out, and the staff is helpful and kind, despite the significant language barrier that prevails in the country. It definitely got annoying at times that nobody seemed to speak English or French , but I guess that's our problem as its their country . Cambodians are perhaps the friendliest bunch I've encountered anywhere, and these staff were no different. The pool and landscaping were stunning and the rooms and bathrooms spacious nicely decorated and have good a/c. Just don't forget the screens, a lot of Mosquitos roam Phnom Penh.
