"The grounds are beautiful. I stayed in a river view room with a balcony: so peaceful and relaxing. The room was very nice, but if your priority is a good mattress and plump pillows, mine were not great. But not terrible either. The staff are friendly and helpful overall. Scottish breakfast was good. Several large groups moved through in the 4 days I was there, so it became quite bustling."

"Room was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely. What wasn't good was the racket from other resident drinking and socialising outside the hotel beneath our room . It was noisy till very late on Thursday evening and worse on Friday evening/Saturday morning when the disturbance continued beyound 12.30am. When we stay there again, and we will, we shall be making sure our room is in a quieter part of the hotel."
