Sunny Beach Motel

Sunny Beach Motel

8/10 Good
"1st time hanging on the Skaha side, really enjoyed it. Had bicycle, paths are so well done, often physical barriers, I could go anywhere in the city easily, quickly, fun actually, even at night which eliminated taxi/apps. Was cool to walk out the door, stroll to the lake, had beach fire (bans were lifted), walk to waterside pub or ice cream (!), just a great laid back, relaxed vibe. I could see groups here and other motels on this 'strip' that were doing get togethers. A kinda 70s retro, bring the cooler and relax with friends environment on this strip. Exterior was scruffy but powerwashed while i was there (note to staff, water infiltration maybe spray that door less hard lol). Inside was spotless bathroom/great shower, kitchen w/excellent fridge - a real freezer. Older 'meh' furniture but who sits inside by a sunny lake? I'd call it a 'great where it counts' kinda place, a good value place. Friendly staff. Dead quiet at night no crowds. Spaced and left car windows down all day, not a problem. Now that I've done it, I can see why people stay on this side but zip (cycling's easier if yer having drinks) to OK side for a rest/bar if they want variety or nightlife. I'd stay here again."

Riverside Motel

10/10 Excellent
"amazing location by the Okanagan lake. the pool is small but good enough for enjoying with the kids. Kitchenette was useful to cook breakfast in the mornings (no exhaust though). Ample plates, cups, bowls, cooking pots, pans were available. Issues: - Washroom did not have an exhaust so it would get very stuffy after use in the morning. - the staff are not the friendliest. They are not rude but a little more smiling would be good. Overall, good experience and i would stay there again."

8/10 Good
"The checkin process was easy.. The lady who greeted me was very friendly and knowledgeable about the goings on around town.. The room had 2 queen beds and a hideabed with kitchenette and was quite spacious, the only thing was the bathroom was very tiny with no space to put your stuff.. close to the beach a 5 minute walk.. I would stay again.."
