I love this area, it’s much quieter and bland in with the local village and people. The cabins are great and the views are excellent. The only thing is that the cabins can get bit too hot, better ventilation or more sufficient fan would make lots of difference. The staff was without fault. Very happy overall.

The cabin we stay had a fabulous view. Putu our staff is very friendly and communicative. We get his service and response instantly. We originally planned only 2 nights and ended up staying 7 nights and will definitely come back again.

Beautiful, but could use some improvement
The property is really gorgeous and the villas are stunning. I think in a few years it will become something else entirely as the area is still being developed. For now, the services they offer (yoga, spa, restaurant, experiences) could use some improvement and the staff could benefit from being properly trained in these services and better trained in hospitality. There's also not much to do in the area, other than be in the retreat and eat at their restaurant and book their "experiences". So the services need to be really good, and right now they are just average. As far as experiences, we did the baby coral planting and that was really unique and memorable (A bit short in my opinion, I kind of wanted to snorkel and explore longer as it was so beautiful). We also did the Mt. Ijen hike. It was very cold and very dusty (so, prepare for that), we had to hike at night to get to the crater and the view was so beautiful, which made it worth it, but it was definitely challenging. We didn't appreciate that we were told the trip was private (and paid for a private tour) but our driver brought someone else to join us. We didn't necessarily care, but just an example of proper training in hospitality. Overall, a good experience and I think I'd come back in a few years with a larger group and rent out one of the big villas, because it really is gorgeous and they have a beautiful property. My feedback is meant for them to improve.

What a beautiful villa!! We were in awe when we arrived. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, we barely left! They will deliver all meals and whatever else you may need. We had a day at the spa and it was amazing. We also took advantage of the private yoga lessons in the most open and peaceful shala I have ever seen. Massages were so relaxing. We enjoyed a romantic dinner at our villa which was set up so beautifully with fresh flowers and candles, they delivered each course as we were ready. The food was great, I have zero complaints from our stay. Sad we couldn’t stay longer, will definitely be back!!

Amazing place! Super secluded up in the mountains and gives you an incredible view. Two absolutely gorgeous infinity pools that you just never want to leave. Friendly staff that wants to fulfill every need. Both restaurants have really delicious food. Sumberkima was a perfect destination for our honeymoon! Cant wait to come back one day.

Stayed in the Arun and it was nice but better for larger groups. It’s an open concept so just hanging out you’ll hear all the noise associated with nature and adjacent parties etc. The shuttle was very convenient which we used to not only go to the beach but also pick up food in the area. The restaurant menu options could be better.

Luxuriuos Stay!!
We had a wonderful stay at Sumberkima Hill Retreat. The villa was huge, very clean and everything was as described. The place is secluded and peaceful. Since the property is quite spread out, an on call shuttle was available to take us around the property as well as to the beach or for going to the market. We were also given a local mobile phone during our stay to connect with the staff for anything we needed. There were numerous activities like canoeing, snorkeling, trip to Menjangan island, trekking, day trips and many more that the staff was happy to organize for us. Do look at the detailed manual available at the villa. While quite a distance away from the beach, the villa shuttle was very convenient, so was the tie-up that the villa has with another resort on the beach. We were able to use their facilities when we went to the beach. We recommend you ask the villa for a driver for your transportation from the airport or elsewhere. The rates are reasonable and we had a very good English speaking driver. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Sumberkima Hill Retreat gave us fulfillment beyond our expectations. Awesome natural surroundings and views , Lovely Villa, very clean, modern architecture, all basic amenities, lovely infinity pool, very friendly hotel management made our stay memorable one. They arranged comfortable transport to the hotel and to our next destination which was very convenient for us and reasonably priced. The hotel has also a nice restaurant with delicious food.

Stunning view from sunrise to sunset, beautiful villas, tasty meals from the restaurant. (E.g Fish curry, Mie Goreng, Risotto) pulled pork was underwhelming. However, all in all, a GREAT experience to try from the conventional ‘holiday getaway’ in Bali, this takes it to a whole new level of reguvenating your mind and soul from the city life. Villa on the Hill
Sumberkima Hill was my treat to myself for the end of my 3 week solo trip to Bali. I stayed at Villa Asmara 1 which was an absolute dream. The views overlooking my infinity pool were epic. I felt like a queen staying at such a beautiful and luxurious place. The staff was always super friendly, helpful and ready to assist with a smile. There wasn't much to do except relax as you are up on a hill and there isn't much of a town. I'm used to walking everywhere but there is a complimentary shuttle that I took to the local beach a few times. Also there are tours that can be arranged to some of the areas sites and diving, snorkeling spots. If you are looking for pure tranquility in a gorgeous and private place - Sumberkima does not disappoint.

Highly recommend this place
We stayed in 1 bedroom Busuki Villa and overall I highly recommend these communities of Villas considering the location it is in. It is away from mostly everything and about a 15min drive to the village stores shops etc activities. it is beautiful with an absolute gorgeous view. I wouldn't stay at any other resort in the area. I loved this place and although there had been construction going on behind our villa. The workers were so pleasant,and the manager offered us half off our spa treatments for compensating for the noise in the day time. I really loved this retreat it was relaxing and peaceful. The only thing that I wasn't too happy with was the onsite Resturant, because the workers didn't take are orders right and we waited and hour till we got our food and never ended up getting one of our dishes, with that we waited another half hour to get our bill so the next night we went into town about a 20 minuet drive to get dinner, room service was great but orders we taken wrong again. Also at 5am museum chant goes on for about an hour so if thats a bother for you I highly recomend not even coming to the city at all its on a very loud speaker, other thank that every thing was wonderful. we got massaged by the special "healer" I highly recommend her she is wonderful coming from another body work healer she has great hands. the view is breathtaking here and was my favorite.

We try to pay a lot of attention to our food and make everything fresh, so that what we serve tastes good. However, preparing food this way, takes more time. It must have been very busy that the staff did not provide you with the service that you should have received. Our apologies for that. We hope you come back next year, as we plan to have a bigger restaurant and I expect service will be up to standard then. The construction in that area is finished now as well :-)

Can't recommend Sumberkima Hill highly enough. Gorgeous villa in a beautiful rural setting in north Bali. Staff are all very friendly and efficient but with a relaxed atmosphere. The villa (Naga) was really fantastic. Very comfortable, clean, spacious with great infinity pool. We enjoyed the cooking class with chef Suma who took us to the local market to shop for ingredients and show us local fruits and veg. VERY well stocked mini-bar which we enjoyed emptying :) Thank you all for a memorable stay.

The villa was beautiful but sadly the stay was somewhat spoilt by the fact that a new villa is being built below Villa Naga which put a bit of a blot on the view but also meant there was noisy building work and workmen coming up the side of the Villa- not what I was hoping for as I'd deliberately chosen this villa as previous reviews said it wasn't overlooked. The location is fairly remote if you don't have a car- I decided to walk to the ATM which took almost 90 minutes as the only one that takes international cards is in Pemeuteran; the hotel can provide a taxi down for 100 000 idr. That said, the food in the restaurant on site was great and there was enough variety if you were staying for a week and the driver who collected me and took me back to the airport was great and really helpful in showing me the sights on the way (just say you don't like coffee or you'll find yourself being ripped off at a Luwak coffee farm).

개인적으로는 발리 숙소 중 전망이 가장 좋았습니다. 넓은 주택을 여유있게 쓸 수 있는 것도 좋고, 마을 가운데 언덕 위에 있어서 풍경을 즐기기에도 아주 좋습니다. 식당, 액티비티 모두 만족이라 다음에 가면 길게 묵고 싶네요. 그리고 고양이들이 있는데 아주 귀엽습니다.

Wunderschönes Hotel
Ein Traum im Paradies. Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit super Service. Die Mitarbeiter haben versucht einem wirklich jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen und haben dies auch problemlos geschafft. Leider nicht direkt am Strand, doch auch hier wurde ein kostenloser Shuttel angeboten.
