Good hotel, underwhelming MuayThai training
Overall a decent hotel and I enjoyed my stay. It has great exercise facilities (as per the Sports Hotel name) and the location is good if you want quiet time away from Walking Street. The hotel itself is a bit tired and most of the staff (outside of reception) spoke minimal English. The Muay Thai/MMA facilities were also great however I found the sessions underwhelming. Aside from 20 mins with a trainer, you're on your own for the remaining 1hr 40 mins. No one that lead a warm up, stretches or drills of any sort. At 800 baht its more expensive than other local gyms so I didn't see the justification.

over all a average hotel , nothing special at all. Location is good, but hotel needs a renovation everywhere, even a view weeks ago was a fire in sauna bath, until now no renovation completed.... Breakfast is not even average for western tourists, maybe ok for some local people and sportsmen. Staff is very friendly and try to help whenever you need something. Wifi is available and always need to renew the password, nothing to work smoothly. Pool is ok, but no service at all, and not made to relax some hours.

Fairtex Recreation Hotel
This is an excellent hotel if you want to do different types of sports and have the possibility of private trainer. Also a SPA is available with healthy food. Furthermore close to the beach and town. Had an excellent Muay Thai trainer, Master Kru Cha who really did his most to build my physique during the 3 weeks I stayed.

Great facility... Horrible staff
The room were very spacious and clean. However, I was greeted by young man at the reception desk. He was rude and sarcastic. I waited forever for everything.... bell boy service, room service, dining service. Essentially there was no service to speak of. The wifi was very slow. I did like, however, the raw food restaurant next to the hotel.

The hotel is fairly modern and in a great location in Pattaya very close to the beach and the hussle and bussle night life. Beds are a little hard but the room is very very spacious. Only quirck I could see is that the washrooms were not cleaned to canadian standards but Ive noticed that everywhere in Thailand. I would recommend this hotel to everybody.

Perfect if you like a workouto
Perfect hotel if you want a really top room for the suites and really good TV stations and sports facilities such as top gym pool sauna and steam for free. Pattaya itself just so so full of working girls and beach not so good. Hotel is 10 minutes from centre but there are many buses for 10 baht. There are restaurants nearby. Breakfast good in that they have brown bread muesli and tasty meals.

Training Convenience
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is super tacky and a little tired, but the training facilities are right in the hotel and the pool is huge and clean. If tacky furnishings and staying in a hotel that is past its prime bothers you, look elsewhere. If you want to relax, train, and take it easy, this is a good place to do it.

This hotel is a bit better than a normal 3 star hotel, but doesn't rate a full 4 stars..though the hotel staff is quite good there were many instances where there were problems with some of the staff's abilities with English. It seems many, if not most of the other guest were Thai, s the big draw here is Thai boxing training. Some of the exercise classes have instructors with their microphones turned up so high that one is bothered by it even in the breakfast area in the early morning. This may not be the ideal place to stay for those not into physical trainings..as the sport and training facilities are the main draw here. The location is away from what most other people come to Pattaya for, so for other people the location may not be ideal. I think a 3 and a half star rating is appropriate, not four...

Great hotel
The hotel is close enough to nightlife, shopping etc, but far enough away for a quiet time. The hotel facilities are excellent, the staff very friendly and I will stay again. The only very minor point is the trees are getting too tall by the pool, blocking out a lot of the sun. Loved my stay here.

Too expensive for the room but still a nice hotel
The Hotel was lovely and the staff are great. I didn't use the facilities of the hotel. The boxing & yoga classes are not free & aren't cheap considering we're in Thailand. My room was well decorated and spaces but I could hear noise and conversations from the room next door through the rooms shared door for joining the two rooms. The air condition was very loud because the condenser was right outside my room and the windows aren't very good at preventing noise pollution entering the room.

The Fairtex was great for sports facilities, but not much else. Rooms were quite basic, and beware of booking travel arrangements via Reception - it seems a 100% markup is charged, ie, the travel will cost you double what it otherwise would were you to book it directly yourself.

Great for health and fitness focus
I stayed at Fairtex gym for eight days that focussed on health and fitness. That staff at Fairtex are well qualified, experienced and patient. I took the opportunity to have a personal trainer show me some workout programs and also took tennis lessons. Different classes also offered variety for a fitness program. Fairtex has such a busy fitness centre, without getting crowded that it is easy to stay focussed. Yoga training, and detox and diet program is also available for a little extra. The room was comfortable - I've stayed in a standard room before, which is basic, but upgraded for a little more to a deluxe room and it was well worth the extra.

Unfortunately found the staff were not always helpful, there were issues throughout our stay, room was cleaned to a poor standard, wifi was hit and miss, massive leak in the corridor ( these things happen in old buildings I know ) but for the rest of the stay the room and corridor smelled bad. On 2 occasion the staff were rude when we enquired about these issues. Plus side the gym was good. The hotel is just old and in need of a refurb

The reception was not nice at all, and the guy who were there to process our booking was impolite. But the bellboys made up for it. they were very courteous and nice. the boxing area stinks and the hallway to the hostel that had the box where you can leave your towel made me puke. the room is pleasant and clean though.

Staff was kind to me but fairly rude to my Thai wife. Had internet all 10 days of my stay. Other that that all good. Lots of georgous plant and pretty good gym for a hotel. I'd stay there again.

The first time I stayed it was great and the staff were friendly. This time a different story the hotel had a lot more local tourists and groups using the sports facilities and as a result the customer service fell off a cliff. Front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. I like the facilities but I didn't like how I was treated. If you're going for a short trip it's good. If your staying for a while you can find a better hotel.

GREAT, BUT GYM NEEDS A BIT OF WORK
second time i have stayed.....aircon making a bad noise, but they fixed immediately. Standard room this time, not that great compared to Superior Room, so always go for the better one if you can. But the room still had all you need, just a very small bathroom and nowhere around the sink to put your stuff. The gym is pretty good as far as weights go, also the x trainers and treadmills, but the bikes and rowing machine in the gym need seriously updating as they were in a very poor condition.......but apart from that......normal great service....highly recommended

The only thing nice about this hotel was the free buffet breakfast and the gym. The all white room room I stayed in was laughable. The shower soap dish was OUTSIDE of the shower, not inside. Hello? There was a 2 inch drop from the room to the bathroom, a serious health hazard. There were no windows, no lamps and no clock. Two twin beds put together, not a queen or king bed. Because there was no lamp, I had to get up and walk to the front door in order to turn the light on. Terrible room, and not in a great location in North Pattaya, too far from the action.

great hotel, great staff, great breakfast, gym is fine, cv bikes a little dated, but ok. a lot of classes if you want them, internet a bit iffy at times....was 5Meg download when i arrived, but sometimes under 1Meg, but generally fine, ok for e mails and stuff, but a bit iffy at times if you want to watch tv online, but ok for downloading stuff....I came during festival up to 19th April, so you get wet in the street with people throwing water all the time, which is funny at first, but can wear a bit thin........very hot at this time of year though......but the hotel is great, and will stay here every time i come to Pattaya

Staff were very helpful they made my stay very relaxing. Rooms up to date and very clean. I was in Thailand training Muay Thai. Had been to a few gyms in Thailand before arriving at fairtex. The trainers were excellent but the Muay Thai was extremely over priced. Class sessions that were suppose to be 8 till 10 and they lasted till just after 9 o'clock. Private training was great but again a bit to pricey. The hotel it's self is great and would recommend you to stay there even if you are not a sporty person.

Good location and the staff are very friendly but the atmosphere is very "laddish" and uncomfortable. The restaurant and swimming pool are accessed through the gym. I ended up changing hotels as I couldn't even sit at the pool without unwanted attention

Perfect mix of fitness and relaxation!
My partner and I were seeking a holiday where we could maintain our fitness schedule while catching up on some much needed rest and relaxation. Fairtex was absolutely perfect! We were not sure about going to Pattaya at first, not our usual choice of destination in Thailand but we loved it thanks to Fairtex. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the sporting and gym facilities were excellent (and very clean) as was the 25 meter pool which as great for laps but also for relaxation with its resort style feel. Fairtex was only a 20 min stroll to the centre of Pattaya for the night life and great eats (a little further to Walking Street). It was also less than a 5 min walk to a very large Tesco's which was helpful.

One of the best in Pattaya.
Fab hotel, we stayed before and will be back again. The sports facilities are unbeatable. Make sure you get the main building and not the annex if you want a larger luxury room. Deluxe and and super deluxe are in the main building. The standard and dorm are a separate buiding. All are adequate but it`s better to pay a few more pounds. We will be back again for sure...

Great, clean, friendly, fun, place.
I will certainly go back to stay here. I actually ended up there for my wedding honeymoon and found it great! Staff are really friendly and attentive. The classes are great, and its inspiring to see the fighter come in and train from early. Really gives you the incentive to join in and get fit. No matter what level you are starting from. The main rooms in the front office, are worth the extra money, over the cheaper rooms. Depending on what you come there for, and how long you will stay. Sports facilities are superb. Being adjacent to a juice bar is ideal.

For a highly rated hotel, it just was a let down.
When the information about the hotel does not match your room, it is frusterating. Of course in Thailand, they have a too bad attitude. Although the front dest tried to help by upgrading the room, the new room still had issues with leaking showers and areas that looked bad from wear from water damage. If you want a seperate tub, this is not true for most rooms. Do not believe the information on them. Nice entry way and rooms overall wear clean, beds were comfortable, i just was frusterated paying more for something and not recieving it as advertised.

well staff at this hotel need to be trained in customer services (reception) breakfast was very good gym super stem and sauna good only problem separated into male and female.Room clean but not the greatest broken bits here and there also no balcony.
