The Bold Type is a beautiful hotel and the staff was gracious, extremely helpful, and had a wonderful disposition. We are from the US and this was our first time in Greece and we felt a little intimidated but they answered all our questions and helped us every step. We highly recommend this hotel.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast fantastic. Only the taste of the food deserves 5 stars. The parking lot is on the street, very small and does not guarantee a place for all vehicles. Hygiene could be better. An example is that during the few days spent in this hotel, no one came out to the terrace to change the full ashtray, etc

The property is a unique boutique hotel converted from an old magnificent mansion located in the upper town of Patra, close to some very interesting Roman excavations and within easy walking distance anywhere in the center. The feel Is that of a classic old hotel. The rooms are spacious. The staff is excellent and were attentive. There is a wonderful restaurant bar area in the old courtyard behind the building which was quiet and provided a welcome respite in the evening and a wonderful breakfast in the Morning.

One of the BEST hotels!
This hotel is LUSH! Everything is newly renovated and the service is consistently high quality from start to finish… the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are luxurious and the food is cooked to PERFECTION! If you are visiting Patras, make sure to book yourself at this hotel as you will really enjoy your stay there guaranteed

Impressive warm welcome, beautiful rooms and restored building. Excellent night's sleep and a delicious cooked to order breakfast. Service was superb. Overall, right up there with 5-star hotels around the world.

We have been there during the first week of the hotel opening. The building is amazing and the newly decorated rooms make this hotel probably the best hotel in the city right now. Very warm welcoming by the very accommodating staff and the deco of the rooms are the main reasons we loved the hotel. The breakfast options, service and execution were unique and very very tasty! I would easily return there without any single doubt.

Wonderfull place, amateur services.
Good structure, close to the center and main attractions. Room is small, but comfortable. Good bed and excellent shower. Good TV and Internet. The problems are meals (not good quality and served without profissionalism, breakfast was really bad and stressing) and the night cinema at hotel garden, with dozens of people, with noise and much more, in a 10 rooms personalized hotel. Completelly out of order. Front desk attendants was very attentive and friendly.

One night stay in Patras
Very cosy hotel. Newly renovated building with respect of the beautiful old building. The only bad thing right now is that they have not installed windows for keeping the street noise out from all rooms. We had to ask if we could be moved from the floor plan room late evening because of the street noise, luckily they had a vacant room, which had just got installed extra new windows, that helped us falling asleep. But very good service from the receptionist when we asked to be moved. Very good food both for dinner and breakfast in their restaurant. This is definitely a hotel worth visiting.

Das Hotelgebäude ist ein sehr herrschaftlich und wunderschön saniert. Der Garten hinter dem Haus ist sehr ansprechend angelegt, üppig begrünt mit kleinen Pool im Herzen. Darum sind moderne Sitzgelegenheiten, die auch zum Restaurant des Hotels gehören. Das Zimmer hatte sie Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich wünscht, sehr bequeme große Betten, ein modernes Bad, Netflix etc. Leider kommt jetzt das große ABER: leider konnte man aufgrund des Lärms der Straße nicht schlafen. Die Fenster hielten kaum die Geräusche und den Lärm von außen ab und so wurde man zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit von außen beschallt, von aufheulenden Motoren genauso wie von erzählenden Leuten vorm Hotel, von denen man fast jedes Wort verstand, aber auch von der Musik und den Gästen der angrenzenden Bars, die man locker bis 3 Uhr nachts hörte. Nach der ersten Nacht beschwerten wir uns wegen des Krachs und der schlaflosen Nacht an der Rezeption. Vor allem waren wir sauer, da ich ein halbes Jahr vorher gebucht hatte und explizit nach einem leisen Zimmer gefragt habe und dann das. Das Hotel war ausgebucht, somit konnten wir das Zimmer nicht wechseln. Entweder man hätte uns ein Zimmer zum Garten geben müssen oder aufgrund meines Wunsches nach einem ruhigen Zimmer uns mitteilen müssen, das sie dies nicht anbieten können. Dann hätte ich ein anderes Hotel gebucht.Es ist Unding, generell und vor allem in einem gehobenen Hotel wie diesem, kaum Schlaf, geschweige denn irgendwie Erholung zu finden, der geht überhaupt nicht.
