Madison du Coteau could not have been more accommodating for our family. Our unit was roomy, well appointed, and clean, and even included a fully equipped kitchen. John and his staff were thoughtful and helpful hosts, and really anticipated everything we might need, including an umbrella for unseasonably wet weather! Breakfast is delightfully presented and cooked to order to meet dietary preferences. The location in Cachan is very convenient, with multiple eatery options a short walk down the hill. We highly recommend the Japanese restaurant and while we were too late to get into the African restaurant, it was clearly very popular! There is also a lively bar in the Oval. There are bakeries and a very well stocked supermarket in the small downtown area. Access to Paris is via RER line B. The station is a 15 minute walk through town. Trains are very frequent, and take you to Notre Dame-Saint Michel in 15 mins. Recommend Maison du Coteau without hesitation 💗

Everything about la maison du coteau looks and feels cheap. From the entrance gate to the rooms to bathroom and even breakfast. The room that we stayed in was depressing and had no window no ac but fans and one of the fan's cover was held together by tape. It was a small fan and doesn't cover the upper and lower bunk. There was mosquito in the room. The bathroom fitting is very old and the toilet paper is coarse and the soap/body wash provided was of the worst quality. There was only one trashcan in the bathroom and the cover underneath the door was coming off. Although housekeeping supposed to be everyday after reaching there we came to know it will be every 2 days but then still we did not see our stuff replenished, toilet tissue, soap etc. Had to ask for it. The only small non functional trashcan in the room overflowed and no one came to pick up the trash .. had to take the trash to downstairs by ourselves. The breakfast was the same boring thing everyday croissant some hard bread and orange juice. There was fruit but very small portion not enough for one person let alone for the whole family. There was laundry in the property but had to pay 10 euro for each load of laundry. The b&b is on top of hilly area and going to store/come back on upslope is very tiring especially after all those walkings in Paris. I wouldn't recommend people staying in la maison du coteau based on the comfort and quality of service provided.

Nous avons toujours considéré à La Maison du Coteau qu’il est très difficile dans ce métier de hôtellerie de faire plaire à tout le monde. Ce qui était le cas avec ceux qui nous ont taxé de la note 2, et qui ont annoncé leur mécontentent depuis le début disant que, « Tout dans la maison du coteau a l'air bon marché. De la porte d'entrée aux chambres en passant par la salle de bain et même le petit déjeuner.» C’est leur appréciation et leur droit. Mais si je prends la plume pour donner mon avis, comme gérant de La Maison du Coteau, c’est parce que j’ai personnellement payé le prix fort de leur séjour. En effet, cette famille a été malade pendant au moins 3 jours sur 7, intoxication alimentaire parait-t-il, contractée lors de leur voyage éclair à Londres dès leur 2eme jour de leur arrivée à Cachan, où ils auraient d’après eux, mangé dans un restaurant Indien douteux. Nous avons nettoyé et changé leur linge et nettoyé leur vomit plusieurs fois, et lavé leurs vêtement personnel afin qu’ils puissent se reposer au lit. On était quasiment transformé en hôpital ! En plus, du fait de leur culture Indienne sans doute, ils se lavaient très largement hors de la douche en inondant complètement la salle de bain. Il est vrai que ni la salle de bain ni la chambre ne sont faites pour ça, car cette chambre familiale est à petit prix pour permettre aux familles modeste de visiter Paris dont les prix sont devenus inaccessibles aux familles. Nous avons d’autres chambres beaucoup plus confortables, mais plus chères, s’ils avaient voulus plus de luxe, mais ils auraient dû payer plus chère. C’est la loi du marché ! Notre seul regret est qu’ils ne nous ont même pas remerciés pour les efforts consentis. PS : Quant aux multiples critiques sur notre côté « cheap » nous les leurs laissons, y compris avec leur relents de mauvaise foi.

Super nice little boutique hôtel. Staff was friendly but bring your mosquito repellent with you. Got attacked at 1:30 am by a group of them and tried to reach out to the front desk/gm the whole night without success unfortunately. No AC so very hot if you keep the windows closed. The place has good potential just not there yet.

This is basically a house repurposed as a "hotel". The owner and staff were very friendly and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was an odd smell that permeated throughout the house but it wasn't offensive, just..odd. The closest RER was a good 15 to 20 minute walk so NOT near any metro stations as indicated on ORBITZ. Breakfast was fresh and quite good. Solid two stars.

Staff was very friendly, and made the hotel feel more like a home that you were guesting in. Parking is limited, and the roads around the hotel are narrow, with streetside parking, so larger vehicles may have issues.

The hill to the accommodation is very step and you really need a car or to go in a taxi to the accommodation. The rooms themselves are lovely, beds were comfortable and both rooms had a fan which was a god send! Breakfast was good however we were unsure of serving time and second day had to wait but not too long. Excellent family hotel
The B&B is located a couple of miles outside of Paris. We chose it as it is one of the few hotels that offers car parking, as we were travelling around France. The metro into Paris is about 15mins walk from the property through the town (which has several grocery shops and restaurants).The property is spacious and includes gardens with outdoor seating, a very large communal lounge with TV, a kitchen and dining area that guests are allowed to use. Each guest is given a place to store food and their own fridge - which was very welcome as we had been self catering and had a few items to store. We stayed in the family room - a double room for the adults, a separate room with bunk beds for the kids, a small corridor, and a bathroom with shower. This room was much nicer and more spacious than the photos suggest. Finally, the host was fantastic, he was very friendly and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. For us this was a perfect place to stay to enjoy a day trip to Paris.

Our stay was wonderful! It was a unique and cozy feel to it. We were served fresh bread, coffee and fruits in the morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant stay just a few miles outside of the city center.

Accueil très agréable. Nous avons été un peu surpris du côté plus maisin d’hote qu’hôtel. Les commentaires indiquent une belle vue sur Paris. Peut être mais nous avons eu une chambre avec 2 lucarnes. Donc pas de vue. Une des raisons de mon choix était qu’il y avait un parking. Dommage qu’il ait été plein lors de notre arrivée nocturne du deuxième soir. Nous avons dû nous garer à 300 m. Sinon petit déjeuner très bien et bonne literie. Pas de tv dans la chambre.

Jean was very sweet and helped us get a taxi to go into the centre. Breakfast is good, the living space is good, there is a beautiful outdoors garden, and the rooms were very nice. We might go back again:)

Excellent accueil du propriétaire, maison très propre, saine, accueillante et bien équipée avec de grandes chambres, espaces communs et petits coins tranquilles. Un agréable point de chute de qualité où l'on peut se sentir à la maison et dans une ville calme au milieu de déplacements travail en région parisienne. Prévoir une petite marche de la maison au RER, mais elle est vraiment très bien située: on atteint st Michel en une trentaine de minutes à partir de l'hôtel grâce à la ligne RER B qui relie les deux aéroports.

Super godt B&B - fantastisk vært
Godt indrettet værelse, rent. Gode fællesrum, spisekøkken og have. Dejlig morgenmad. God placering i forhold til bus/metro, når turen går til/fra Paris' centrum. Gratis parkering på grunden. Ikke mindst en fantastisk vært, som var utrolig venlig, imødekomende og serviceminded. Vi ankom meget sent, og tog af sted meget tidligt helt uden problemer. Alt i alt et super weekendophold. Vi kunne godt finde på at overnatte på La Maison Du Coteau, næste gang vi skal til Paris.

Ein sehr gemütliches Zimmer auch für mehrere Tage
Vier Freunde in Paris für drei Übernachtungen. Nur am ersten Tag hatten wir schönes Wetter. Wir hatten das große Zimmer im 2. Obergeschoss. Ein schönes großes helles Zimmer und ein separates kleines mit einem Etagenbett. Für vier Personen genügend Platz. Schön ist die zum Raum gehörende Küche, die auch sehr schön vom Wohn- und Schlafraum abgetrennt ist. Wegen des schlechten und kalten Wetters hatten wir am letzten Abend auch die Möglichkeit genutzt, selbst zu kochen. In der geräumigen und gut ausgestatteten Küche im Erdgeschoss machte uns das auch Spaß. Die schöne große Dachterrasse konnten wir nur am ersten Tag nutzen. Wir saßen noch bis nachts halb zwei auf die zu unseren Füßen liegende Stadt mit dem in der Ferne liegenden glitzernden Eiffelturm. Die ehemals weißen Sofas im Wohnraum sollten mal ersetzt werden - trotzdem ist alles sauber und zum Wohlfühlen.

Une maison formidable
Une maison où on peut se reposer en toute quiétude. Accueil très chaleureux avec un maître de maison disponible et à votre écoute. La décoration est raffinée, les pièces communes sont spacieuses. ....bref on se sent comme chez soi.

元旦の宿泊でちょっとびっくり
高台の住宅街にあり部屋からエッヘェル塔が見える。また家具、共有のリビングも良い感じです。但し、今回は年末年始の宿泊だった為、元日はスタッフが休みで朝食は自分で用意しなければならなかった。スタッフの一人〔ジョンさん〕は英語が堪能で親切だった。
