The room was not clean, safe was not working and in the hallway it smelled of cigarette smoke. They have a policy that you need to leave your room key at the reception when you leave the hotel, however upon pickup they do not check ID, which made me feel uncomfortable as it seemed like anyone could come and get the key. Staff was friendly and beds were comfortable.

Comfortable place, handy for the metro
This is a perfectly nice hotel: very clean, well maintained and with friendly and helpful staff. The location is handy for the metro and there are nice restaurants and bars to explore nearby, especially by the canal.

Overall, I was pleased with my stay, especially considering the cost. The hotel is very close to Metro Line 2, Station Jaurès, which makes it convenient for those who ride the RER from CDG. The immediate area is a little run down, but is gentrifying quickly and is seeing a lot of renovations and investment. Food, grocery, bakery options are all nearby. And, you’re not far from major attractions, like Butte Chaumont park and the canals. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is available downstairs in the morning. You do have to go up one story from the ground floor for the reception desk and elevator, which means you might have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. This also makes the hotel inaccessible to those people with mobility issues. All in all, it was safe and clean. And, I found it met my expectations and needs.

The bathroom and toilet has no door so it was inconvenient to use it. Very small lift. No parking available even though they say on the website they have. So you have to find parking outside yourself with paying. The location is far from the city centre. Only the receptionist guy was good and helpful.

Avoid this place if you can! It’s not worth it!
Last minute booking, after cancelled flight. Be aware that while it does have an elevator it does NOT start at the bottom, it starts after you climb a flight of the stair to get to the first floor. While they offer handicap parking, it is NOT wheelchair accessible by any means. When we arrived, we arrived with our hands full. My poor mom who is 76 and with Stage 4 Cancer, was struggling to get up the stairs with some of her things and the man at the front desk just stood there, watched her struggle, and told her to just come up stairs. We went and dropped our things off and noticed there wasn’t a hand towel. So I went back down to ask if we could have a hand towel. The other man at the front desk, replies “what you don’t have towels”. I said yes and he replied “so you do have towels”. We gave you towels. He yelled something in French and Arabic then went back to talking on the phone and ignored me. Also Be aware: Make sure you see prices listed for things in the hotel, because they will make up prices and say they don’t know where the list is for certain things such as printing, charging up to 1€ per printed page. If there isn’t a price listed for something go somewhere else to get what you need. “Nothing is Free in our Hotel” is what I was told. Rudest customer service. Room was ok. Beds were comfortable until you realize you have bedbug bites in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, this isn’t your place. Bathroom was ok.

It is very tired. Hallways need a refresh of paint. It is somewhere to put your head down to sleep and spend the day outside. No aircon. The staff are really nice. Bedding was clean and fresh

Be warned!! This place is not as it appears. The pictures looked good and it was rated as "good" by other guests but it was quite horrid. The room was tiny, there was no air conditioning, the towels were old, nasty, and dirty, and the carpets throughout the whole place were disturbingly dirty. Would never stay there again.

Would definitely stay there again!
Really great service from the friendly staff. It was snowing in Paris during the days we were there and the room was perfectly heated, also no problem with water heating. Excellent location also with restaurants near by, takeaways, pastry shops with great croissants, supermarket, convenience stores, liquor stores and the most important, subway with access to the entire city.

Initial thoughts on check we're poor as the reception did not give any information re check out times breakfast etc.... Room was comfortable and generally clean, however the carpet had a lot of hairs in it which suggests it's not vacuumed after each visit Location not fantastic but very close to metro stop so okay If you are looking for a comfortable bed with good transport links for a decent price this is a good bet

Would stay again if I had to.
The overall stay was okay, the hotel staff was very nice and went out of their way to help translate things from French into English. They also offered some pamphlets on where to go and what to visit while in Paris. The cleanliness of the hotel was not good, the sheets had not been changed from day to day or even every other day. The sheets also had stains on them and smelled musky. The bed was not very comfortable, but each person prefers a different mattress so to each his own. The room itself was also unclean with large dirty spots on the carpets and stains on some of the drapes. The area the hotel is located is very charming and within walking distance to many great restaurants, bakeries, and sights.

Not a place to sleep when the weather's hot.
This hotel has no air conditioning. That would be alright except that it is in the noisiest neighborhood imaginable. The window is large and when open can cool the small room adequately. When closed it can keep out most of the incessant noise of the street. It can't do both at the same time. So either way, you won't get a good sleep. Street noise at this location includes hundreds of motorcycles, dozens of sirens, and young men who yell at each other until 4 AM. The buses seem quiet in comparison. There's also an elevated section of the Metro nearby with an obnoxious expansion joint that gives a loud clunk for each axle that passes over it (4 per car, 5 or 6 cars per train). The Metro shuts down around 1 AM, and that's good, but then it starts up again about 5:30 AM.

The staff were outstanding: very friendly and most helpful with Amine, Edouard, and Rachid at the front desk and Xiahong for keeping our room nice and clean. This was our 2nd visit and it was even more enjoyable than the first. Merci beaucoup !!

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I booked for four nights, but transferred to a different hotel after two nights, even though I had to pay for two hotels. The rooms are very small, and the bath/shower were in a closet-like small room. Very awkward. The train that comes by every three minutes is very noisy and the street noise was very loud. The room was hot and uncomfortable. They charge for morning coffee and all amenities.

I go to Paris at least once a week for business and always try to change neighborhoods to see more of the city ,as of lately I've been coming back to this area because it's right near the metro only 45 minutes from the airport by train with only One station change.

Great location easy access to the metro, gard du nord 10 minute walk away. Local places to eat out within walking distance. Comfortable bed. For me the only downside was CNN was the only English speaking tv channel but hey that's not what I came to Paris for, overall a good stay ! I'll defenatly use again.

Lovely clean hotel, excellent staff!
I picked this hotel as it is close to the metro. It was a lot better than expected, very clean and nice size room. The staff were excellent, very helpful and went out of their way to provide directions and advice. I would recommend this hotel and if I visit Paris again, would definitely book this place. The staff were the friendliest people I came across in Paris and cannot praise them enough. Thanks for a great stay!!

Lovely decorated room. Have used the space so well
We only stayed here as a last minute decision and for one night. The hotel is well located near to the park and metro station. The soundproofed windows helped as it was noisy outside - there were crowds the particular night we stayed. Loved where they put the bathroom - unbelievable use of space. Very modern bathroom and had everything you needed. Just need to remember you are in Paris and so us Europeans don't really do air-con, or lifts. The spiral staircase and general feel was quite charming. It's not brand new, it's not modern but we knew that and we were happy. The bed was very comfy and the night porter was so helpful when I needed a taxi at an early time in the morning. Would happily stay here again. For the money it's really good.

The room was small but very nice. Decoration was pretty and bed was very confortable. It was spotless. Only thing I would have liked would have been to have some extras in the room, like a kettle to be able to have a tea when I came back or in the morning since the breakfast is not inluded. Staff is very helpful and nice. There is no elevator from the ground floor to the reception (which is in the first floor) but staff came down to help as soon as we arrived and when we where leaving. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely come back. The location is amazing!!! right next to the metro station, very easy to connect to touristic attractions

Bad news first: The hotel is old with old fixtures and has the smallest elevator I have ever seen. The bed was uncomfortable and the noise from the nighttime deliveries to the local businesses made it very difficult to sleep. The parking garage they sent us to was full and we had to park on the street (huge headache). Good news: The price was great. The neighborhood was okay during the day. There is a bakery across the street and a couple neighborhood style bars down the street and a subway station within a couple hundred feet of the hotel entrance! The staff was friendly. They provided us with a subway map and advised us on how to use it. I would stay here again if I didn't plan to drive.

Well worth the price.
Nice, clean room. Excellent location near both railwaystations (Nord & Est). Nearest metrostation just a few steps away. Breakfast was next to nothing but there´s very cheap supermarket on the other side of the road. Also the bars and restaurants in this area are remarkably cheaper than those at the centrum.
