The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. He encouraged me to speak French although I don’t get the opportunity to speak it much. He said if I got to spend a month in France with my vocabulary I would be comfortable speaking French. I had asked for a room in my booking on an upper floor but I was given one on the first floor but it was very quickly changed to the top floor as I wanted to get sleep. My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had everything you need except for shower gel. There was liquid soap in the shower. It was good to have two free bottles of water and coffee pods. There was enough sockets for plug charging for devices but no usb points but thats a minor issue. All in all I can't failt the hotel. It's in a good neighbourhood with the Charonne metro station a few minutes walk away and plenty of small grocery stores and food places. I would definitely consider returning.

I found this property was very different from advertised. The rooms in the photos have big beautiful art behind a cozy looking bed. My room was just grey walls with an IKEA-type bed. Multiple times throughout different parts of the day there were bags of laundry in the hallway that I literally stepped over to get through. I also had some miscommunication with the check in desk that left me sitting around in the lobby for over an hour waiting for my room. It was okay with me if the room wasn't ready. In fact, I hadn't asked to check in, only to set my bag down so I could go get something to eat. Strangely they had a pile of people's bags in the breakfast room. Even though they had a closed closet for luggage. It was an hour wasted because the check in person kept telling me the room is almost ready, it'll just be this many more minutes. But that time kept getting longer and longer. I would have been happy not to rush them and come back. I only had 2 full days in Paris and any time wasted sitting in a hotel lobby was time not spent exploring. The nice things about this hotel are there is air conditioning, which is hard to find in Paris, but becoming more and more necessary during summers. The room was very clean and had a convenient place to hang and place clothes. Which can also be hard to find in Paris. The location is really good. Charming cafes are right below. It's a quick walk to the metro, where the stop is very convenient to access from the rest of Paris.

Really nice, particularly for the price - midweek price was less than €150 / night and seemed a great value. Rooms are clean and great bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Nice, though small lobby with attached restaurant. I like the area it’s in with some gems of places to eat and two of Paris’ best bakeries within a 10 minute walk. Only downside is a very small, slow elevator - barely fits two with bags - but I generally took the stairs. I noticed they were doing maintenance on the carpet up the stairs as it was a little worn. The rooms themselves were very well maintained and updated. Overall recommend the place. Very happy with my stay.

We traveled from USA to Paris. I was uncertain about the area. It's in the 11th district and we felt totally safe even at night walking from the metro which was about a 5 min. walk from the hotel. We stayed in a family room and it was great. Paris Hotel rooms are small but we did not feel crowded. Updates had been done. Beds were comfortable and no bed bugs. Staff was helpful and spoke English. Well insulated from street noise, but did hear guest going in/out of their rooms. If i go to Paris again, this affordable hotel is on my list. They serve breakfast for a fee, but we did not partake. Great little eateries everywhere. Small working elevator and A/C in room. (We stayed in room 106)

It is pretty conveniently located in quite a fun area. Easy walking distance to Metro. Very clean and confortable beds/facilities. Be aware the lift is tiny and the stairs are not for the faint hearted. Very welcoming staff. Didn't try the restaurant as no options one of our party could eat, but the beer was great. I would have no hesitation coming back here on my next visit to Paris.

A lovely room with a beautiful and vibrant picture of Paris on the wall. It was small but completely comfortable and functional for two friends sharing for one night. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, spoke English well and were incredibly welcoming. The hotel is very well located near a metro with easy links to the city and just 20 minutes from Gare Du Nord. There are lots of lovely restaurants, boulangeries and shops nearby and it feels very well lit, busy and safe even as a woman travelling alone after dark. The only downsides were a long climb up a spiral staircase to get to our room, the room would feel small for a long stay and there was some noise during the night but nothing that was too disruptive during our stay. Would stay again.

Great Location
This hotel is in a great location. Lots of great restaurants, bakeries, and other services. Very close to the Metro and easy to get around. Less touristy than other areas. The hotel is very quaint and comfortable. We did have a bad experience at check out. We had a airport pickup set for 5 am. We went down to the lobby about 40 minutes early as we were awake and hoping to get an earlier taxi. We woke up the reception clerk who was sleeping on the lobby couch. He was very irate that we came down to the lobby early as he was not going the be able to go back to sleep! He threw a remote accross the room, then proceed to pick it up and sit back on the lobby couch to watch TV on his iPad. We stood in the lobby as there was no place to sit while we waited for the taxi. This was a very uncomfortable situation for my wife and I.

A great little place
My family of 4 stayed here overnight and the hotel was excellent. We are two adults and two kids under 8. The staff we met were lovely and helpful. The room was clean. It was a compact space, but we didn’t mind! The breakfast was really good because everyone could choose their own items from the buffet. The cheese and hot chocolate were a highlight. Thank you Hotel des Arts!
