I will start with the hotel: it is welcoming, clean, and secure. The room is what you would expect in europe, slightly small but very accommodating. The neighborhood looks slightly sketchy, but it is perfectly safe to walk around day or night. Plenty of restaraunts nearby. The staff is awesome. The breakfast is great. Ask for an additional pillow since the two supplied are on the small side.
Now to paris in general: lots to do and see. I recommend buying tickets in advance for thw eiffel tower and the louvre. DO NOT ride the metro during rush hour. The pickpockets use the cramp space to take your valuables. If you have to ride it, keep a hand on your stuff. If a guy comes at you yelling, "Pardon, Pardon, pardon" you are the target.
I highly recommend this hotel as it is close to the train station and has a metro station a block away. My favorite part was the breakfast.
