The location is excellent - near the train station. The price is also quite fair. The breakfast was great - although just a bit pricey if you don't have a hearty appetite. This is a different type of economy hotel - a highly automated check-in/check-out, print-your-own keys, a room with no carpeting, an iPad to control the room lights, TV, a great view from the top of the Paris sunset, and great work areas on the main floor. The rooms are efficiently designed, with preconstructed components, but also highly sensible (the safe was under the bed, and luggage could be stored there too). The heating/AC, soundproofing, and blackout blinds all worked great. This is not your hotel if you want local color in a five-story walkup. However, this is a perfect choice if you are looking for a clean and restful place at a reasonable price with excellent support staff. We would come back and/or use this chain again.

Thanks to the staff for providing me with an awesome time...The bartender and the front desk ladies ( The Dancing Queens) WERE amazing. The room was perfect with a nice view to the Eiffle Tower. Next to the trains and taxis... perfect place and staff.The staff will be happy to help with anything...Thank you to everyone there for making my stay great.

Excellent hotel, great location right next to 2 major train stations metro RER. The Bastille area is a short walk away. The room are fairly large, very well appointed, quiet, and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is solid, with fresh fruit, pastries, a barista and a real espresso machine; well worth the price. Nitpick: the light controls are a bit weird, I couldn't figure out how to turn the lights in the toilet without turning on the entire room.

I stayed there with my 2 college-aged daughters. Each one of us had our own room. We loved the comfort, cleanliness, and the super friendly and helpful staff. One of my daughters lost her journal book somewhere in the facilities. I had given up hope, but Ms. Levenier found it for her! Great stay in Paris!

Affordable boutique hotel in a great location!

First time in Paris, though have stayed in Citizen M before. Easy to find, overlooking the Seine, about 200 yards from Gare de Lyon station. Rooms are compact, but have everything you need. Shower, bed, tv. Rooms controlled by iPad or your iPhone, lights, curtains, blinds, tv, all controlled by your device. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Check in was easy, very helpful staff, even with my basic grasp of French. Had breakfast both days and it was amazing. Buffet style, eggs, bacon, potatoes, mushrooms. Cold meats, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, juices & tea & coffee. A good breakfast both days seen me through to late afternoon. Really great hotel-perfect for solo traveller or Paris first timer, as it’s so close to Gare de Lyon so can access metro & trains really easily 10/10

This hotel does things very differently to what most guests are probably used to. Check in is self-service, even to the point of you enabling your door key. The rooms employ "smart home" type technology, controlled via an app you can download to your phone or use on a tablet PC in the room. There are controls for room climate, lighting colour and intensity, window blinds and TV control. I'm not averse to such technology; I have some of these smart features at home. However, there is a big question mark over whether it actually genuinely enhances guest experience. I suspect 'not much' and that it's more down to cost-cutting by what actually seems more like halls on a university campus than a hotel. Whilst plentiful help is on hand, I suspect some older guests would rather just have a TV remote and a temperature control on the wall & are not bothered by bathroom lighting colour. The technology didn't blind me to some shortcomings for a hotel that's somehow rated at 4 star. Water pressure in the shower was poor. A switch on the shower head was broken and the lifts are temperamental, often failing to respond to an initial attempt to scan your card and select your floor. There is no food service available in the rooms and even a small bottle of water (often provided free in 4 star hotels) will set you back 3 euros. My conclusion is that this hotel is not the delight it would at first seem to be, with its technology, contemporary decor and art work.

Personal assistance with check in was very helpful after a long day of travel. The check-in staff was outstanding. I was disappointed that there was no complimentary hot tea in the lobby or the room.
