This place shows like if they have a pool on the rooftop everything is closed when you get there there’s only a restaurant on the second floor. There’s nothing else the rooms are very spacious.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The staff, Nelly, Joel and the whole gang were amazingly friendly. That was the best part of our stay....the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was amazing. Something for everyone. The coffee machine ...Oh my! Cappuccino, Latte...any type of gourmet coffee, that machine delivered! The room we stayed in was a simple king, the bed could have been softer, but, wasn't bad. The location was perfect and close to everything. We would stay here again. The negative....NO POOL

This hotel was amazing. My partner and I were heading to Punta Cana and he accidentally left his jewelry in the safe. We noticed it was missing when we got to Dominican, when I called the manager had the items they assured us it was safe and it was indeed we collect them on our way back home they were very kind to us we will be back soon!

Nice and convenient hotel in downtown Panama City. Walking distance to the Rey supermarket and Via Argentina with a great selection of restaurants. Hotel is clean, not fancy but has everything you need. Airport shuttle available with a fee.

Could never expect the following: in both rooms that we booked: no hot water for 3 days, room phone did not work, very dark in the room. In one of the room: hair dryer did not work, smell of mold, refrigerator did not work. Money waisted. Very sad.

A lit more knowledge would have helped.
The hotel was beautiful and you get way more than you pay for. I do wish there was earlier check in being that panama is a transportation hub, so a lot of people are coming in at all times of the day. They did offer an earlier check in for $33. I passed but thankfully they held my bags while i explored. I was not informed that the key card controled access to the elevator or that i had to put the card in a slot in the room for electricity to work. The lack of knowledge of how much access the key granted you is why i gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Again beautiful hotel and i do plan on going back to stay next time I'm in panama.

The services was excellent, just one thing, there wasn`t bellman at 6:00 AM, his schedule starts at 8:00 am, so I had to lower my luggage to the lobby by myself. You have very attentive staff working for you :D, I will definitely be back Thank you,

A so-so hotel with a good location
I don't really want to leave a bad review or not necessarily a good one either. The desk service was good. The room was comfortable but at times I saw litter in the lobby, elevator and other places. Room was clean but I couldn't get hot showers the first night and the next morning. They had to call maintenance. It turned out the water had to run for 10 minutes to get hot water. It was puzzling since they have a dry season where they have to be careful on how much water is being used until the rainy season. To be fair this was not the best but for the money it was decent. I did get a good night sleep and it is in a good location with lot's of restaurants close by.

The afternoon staff uncooperative. There are plenty of hotels to stay at in the local area. Hilton is only $5 more. In addition, they added an $8.00 parking fee.

Excellent value for the price and location. It's near many stores and services, but still set away from the main road. The room and amenities (such as the gym) were excellent except for the computer room, where the printer did not work.

The location was nice. The Internet was horrible. I had a very difficult time working. I asked the desk person in the evening if the restaurant on the top of the Hotel was open. His response to me was you can go up and see for yourself. WOW, great hospitality.

Once great hotel becomes mismanaged mess.
I stayed at this hotel several times under the previous management, Barcelo. This hotel was a find. Cool, clean, great staff and a great breakfast. Now reborn as the Oriental it is understaffed, giving way to poor service and cleanliness. The elevators floors were sticky and strewn with cans and plastic cups in the morning. The breakfast has gone from great to average at best. Wonderful pastries replaced with bad brownies. Tasty eggs and sides replaced with salty eggs and sides. Fruit is still okay. Did not see yogurt and the coffee is definitely a step down. Disco music pumps in the breakfast room. “Cool”- Not. Nothin here to recommend. There are many better value options in the area. Sorry to see former owners sell it off. I won’t be back.
