"Breakfast was good, halls and rooms were clean, only issue was the wall plugs in the rooms were “worn out” very loose when something is plugged into them, like cell phone chargers, internal connections were not tight and charger would get “hot”. They need to be replaced as you have to “fiddle” with them to get a stable contact."

"It’s in a cute spot with some great places to eat. Disappointed seeing the laundry station with the towels thrown all over the asphalt and ground. Housekeeping never showed up, even when scheduling it ahead. Staff that was present was very kind. Rooms were fine but not very clean. "

"Overall, extremely pleased with our experience at the Ayres Hotel Vista Carlsbad. Everything was clean and seemed new. We had a standard double queen room. It was very spacious and quiet. Breakfast was yummy. They had an omelette bar, waffle bar (make it yourself) as well as cereal, toast, and fruit. Customer service at the front desk was wonderful. "

"Hotel - good, location - excellent, restaurant - mediocre. It’s a bit noisy due to lots of kids and dogs. If you have a dog, it’s probably your best option. Beach is really just across the street. The pool is really cold."
