"I went to this property midweek in mid-August and expected it to be packed, but it was actually kind of quiet and sleepy. There's a small cafe and very good shower and toilet facilities. It's mostly rvs, though there is a small facility for tents behind the main building.
They have small rustic cottages as well, I stayed in one of those for one night and it was okay, not great, but I also realize that everyone's standards are very high nowadays, a very simple roof over your head with some ants in it and your own refrigerator, not so bad!
The staff were helpful and cheerful, and it's a pretty laid-back place. It's within walking distance of
the cute town of Heinola.
I'd stay here again if I wanted to be in the area. My one complaint is something they can't help--traffic noise from the big highway and the bridge in the distance. I think this affects those of us in tents more than RVs."
