Charming host and hostess, pretty location with hiking and the convenience of town a few minutes away. Can’t recommend it enough. Whoever stays at Changing Tides B&B will love it.

The view of The Bay of Islands is absolutely stunning. Very quick trip in to town for excursions and shopping. Danny and Sue were welcoming and great to talk to. Highly recommend this place for your stay - especially the room with the deck view of the bay.

The property was spotless, Danny & Sue were very welcoming, bed was comfy, bathroom was great ( lovely rainforest shower head), our hosts chatted with us while we had very our nice breakfast, and the view from our private verandah while the light faded out over the bay was absolutely superb.

Booked this lovely gem last minute travelling all the way from Karikari, and we just absolutely love it! Perfect host and enjoyed our amazing company during breakfast too. Literally have everything we need and we specifically adore the sweet thought of jar filled with cookies! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home to us again! X

Amazing stay!
We stayed two nights in the room with a patio overlooking the bay. The view was amazing especially during sunrise. The room had everything we needed plus some additional small touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. Very nice finishing in the room and colour scheme. The room was very clean and in great condition. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was great. Danny and Sue were excellent hosts and provided great recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area along with tour books. Breakfast was continental style and good. There was bread, an assortment of spreads, yogurt, fruits, and cereal. Would stay here again if we are in the area!

The room was lovely but was not fit for purpose as I am travelling for work and needed a desk. the owner blamed me for booking the wrong room which technically is correct, however the website is not clear and when I booked a Superior room I thought that would be the larger room and I hadn’t noticed that one of the rooms didn’t have a desk. It became a very awkward and unpleasant situation but I believe the owner was under pressure with a personal matter and would hope the situation may have been handled differently had she not been upset before I arrived. I travel a lot and had been looking forward to staying here as the pictures are so nice. I have no doubt that a ‘normal’ holiday maker would have a very pleasant stay.

It was recommended by word of mouth and it was proven to be true for a wonderful a night away. Sue and her husband are super friendly and gave us all the information we needed. We’ll definitely get back there.

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit Meerblick
Ein herrliches Fleckchen Erde fast am Ende der Welt. Ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit tollem Blick auf die “Bay of Islands” Alles ganz neu, wunderbar sauber und gepflegt. Leckeres Frühstück mit sehr gutem Kaffee, schnelles stabiles und gutes Internet. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und können diese tolle Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.......
