"The property is excellent. 5 Stars!!! The problem was that we went to the address given on the confirmation but nobody was there to talk to. Since we had no WiFi available we could not contact the phone number supplied and nobody sent a reply when we finally had a WiFi connection. Luckily for us, one of the residents across the street came and contacted the people at Urban Retreats. "Everything was readily available, super convenient, great location and much better than a hotel. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, full kitchen, large common area and laundry facilities in the same complex. "

"Staff was very friendly and accomodating, which is the most important point for me. Bonus points for the gym. There is a kitchen available to make meals and watch TV. I liked the location as well - calm, quiet and with public transport nearby. "

"The staff were less than helpful, There was no car parking anywhere near the hotel. It was student accommodation and not suitable for mature aged travellers. We chose not to stay here and found another motel."

Since it is a student accommodation I was prepared to a less confort, but our family stay was great. The place super clean and the person working at the registration desk was wonderful. "This house is incredible with all the modern finishes which would rival those of a hotel based self-catering option. The hosts were very accommodating and proactive with communicating picking up the key's double-checking sleep arrangements to make sure we were all covered. The location was beneficial, close to the Lusitania museum and nearby pub and beach, while only a short drive to Kinsale. Highly recommended. "The house was nice and quiet. It was advertised with a view of the ocean, however the hedge was so tall it was not possible to see over it for the view. In addition, the house could use a few basic instructions on the switches, stove, washer/dryer, etc readily available, in addition it would be nice to have a few more hand towels and hooks so guests can hang them to dry. Overall the place was a solid performer, lots of room to spread out; not walkable to a town but a short curvy drive in."

"Modern with lots of fun, campy touches. They gave us sweet fruity shots at check in. The rooms are like modern vacation cabins with board and batten walls, there’s a turntable with a few classic rock LP’s and a little Marshal amp, an orange Smeg mini fridge, an old classic black dial telephone on the wall. The bed is comfortable, all white with good duvet. Bathroom is spacious with good amount of counter space. We really like this place and are glad we didn’t get the staid traditional hotel we almost got. "

"The staff was AMAZING… the Bellevue spa Was LOVELY and we travelled with our 3 year old (we are a mid 30s couple from Boston) and she LOVED the pool. The staff would bring everything right away no matter what you called and asked for, extra towels, espresso pods, robes- you name it!! They were all so kind, pleasant, and helpful… I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE who tells me that they are coming to Cork. The only caveat would be that they don’t let kids in the pool past 6pm, children aren’t allowed in the terrace outdoor bar (which is a super bummer bc most of the seating is outdoors with breathtaking views) and children aren’t allowed in the theater. Definitely not the most child friendly place, but that is my only complaint"
