Cadre ancien très bien conservé, belle chambre !

Excellent accueil dans un cadre splendide avec une chambre surprenante par son authenticité. Pour ceux qui aiment "l'ancien" ! Dommage que le restaurant était fermé ce soir là car il a bonne réputation. Il y a peu de chambres, donc on ne croise que peu de monde dans cette grande bâtisse. Séjour agréable.

An incredible place to stay

Myself and my girlfriend spend a couple of days in this hotel, which I can honestly say was one of the best experiences that we’ve ever had. The owners, Werner and Melinda, are such a wonderful couple who make you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door of this magical place. The ambiance, the decor and the attention to detail are second to none. We stayed in one of the suites, which was layed out across one whole wing of the chateau. It was at least 1,500 Sq ft and was complete with a full spa, two bathrooms and a wonderful library space. The bed was California king size, with sheets that were custom made by a company that specializes in private jets and yachts…the best nights sleep I’ve ever had. The restaurant was sublime, with three chefs, a sommelier and two servers to take care of ten people each night. If they don’t have a Michelin star in the next six months, I’ll eat my hat. And to those of you who love good wine, Werner has compiled a wine list that is encyclopedic in its breadth and demonstrates a deep knowledge of French viniculture. I was blown away that not only did they have the right wine…they had the right vintages. I am cognizant that this review has gotten too long for the average reader but I simply cannot say enough about the incredible taste that was exhibited in the complete restoration of this property and the levels of service that we received during our stay. If you get a chance to stay here, just do it ! I promise you will love it and p

La vie de château

Je suis fait pour la vie de château. On séjournait dans la suite coloniale. Avec tout le confort espéré. Que demander de plus? Un cuisinier propriétaire des plus sympathique. La bouffe excellente, beaucoup plus abordable que chez les Trois-Gros à Roanne tout près. Un séjour trop court.

Amazing stay! Amazing hosts! Amazing place!

Stayed 3 nights and everything was perfect. Hosts are extremely welcoming and very attentive to our needs. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Room still had the antique charm but with all the comfort and amenities we needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We will definitely go back.

Trivsel på högsta nivå.

Vi älskade detta hotell, som mer är som ett B&B. Man känner det verkligen som om man är hemma hos någon, som tar väldigt väl hand om dig. Ägarna är helt underbara. Slottet är väldigt vackert restaurerat och i rummen har man tänkt på allt. Vi åt också middag där en kväll, och både maten och vinet var av högsta klass. Tyvärr var vi bara på genomresa så vi stannade bara två nätter. Vi hann inte utforska omgivningarna, men fick en känsla av att det inte finns så mycket att se. Hit kommer man för att njuta och ha det bra!

Charming place sumptuous dinner!

A unique experience. The old castle is very charming and room was unique and well renovated. All worked. Excellent food incl a reasonably priced five course dinner supported by extensive wine card and very personal service
