"Propriété bien située pour faire un arrêt sur le canal. Il n’y a cependant rien à faire à proximité (1 seul restaurant mais fermé lors de notre passage) et rien à visiter en particulier. Le site du bord du canal est très reposant. Les chambres sont propres, sans confort particulier (pas d’air conditionné ni centralisateur). Fort heureusement, on a pu ventiler en ouvrant les fenêtres de la chambre et de la salle de bains. Nous avons diné au bord du canal, ce qui était très agréable. Le repas...

"Nous pensions que c’était un hôtel, pas un gîte D’où la déception L’accueil est charmant et sympathique mais la maison est très vieille et non rénovée et l’odeur de chiens mouillés de la salle à manger est insupportable. Merci"

"L'accueil a été extrêmement chaleureux, de la part de Guillaume et Némo mais aussi par l'impression 'cosy' dès qu'on entre dans leur maison qui était ce soir là baignée dans un épais brouillard de novembre. La cheminée dispensait une chaleur bienvenue après tous ces kilomètres et un peu de retard dû à un problème d'huile moteur... Guillaume nous a attendus et reçus avec beaucoup de gentillesse et nous l'en remercions encore. Et cerise sur le gâteau, il enseigne le golf dans un club tout proche....

If you are in Burgundy for wine experiences Bertrand sells a range of marvelous wines and produces wines himself as well. He offers tastings and even wine education. "When I arrived at this property the owner finally answered the door, she said she had no knowledge of my booking. Finally I had to email her a copy of my confirmation. This wasn't made any easier by her statement that "she spoke no English" - the website clearly states multilingual staff. (In fact it later became clear she did speak English). The 'living-room' is actually set out as a shop and did not feel welcoming - I was not invited to use it anyway. The only restaurant in Salives was unable...
