"Hotel Clarion is in a very central location to everything. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was great. Even the gym is quite well equipped compared to other hotel gyms. We checked in a couple of hours earlier than the usual checking time and the hotel was kind to let us do it without charging us any extra. It was a great experience staying for a couple of nights and we will recommend it to everyone. "

"Fantastic location between Oslo S transport hub and the Opera House. Walking distance to the historic centre and the Munch museum. Sadly, the new buildings, opposite, block the Fjord view - but glimpses still possible from the hotel's 4th floor terrace. Rooms, staff and breakfast all excellent. Some confusion as to where drinks from the bar can be served/consumed - but this seems to be Norwegian Law rather than an issue the hotel can address."

"Good location, a stone throw away from Oslo Sentral. The breakfast was sumptuous with lots of variety. It was a weekend and too many occupants in the hotel, so we were given 50 minutes for the breakfast only, otherwise I could spend two hours eating. The next day we have a early train to catch, the hotel is very considerate to prepare mini buffet breakfast from 430am for the early birds."

"This hotel was very close to the train station…about a 5 minute walk. The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful with our questions and requests. Best of all was the amazing breakfast…delicious and such a wide variety of offerings. For a small additional fee we were able to pack up a lunch for our travel day. We would stay here again!"

"We used the guest laundry to do a load of laundry for our family of four after tent camping for a week. The lobby area was lovely with a bar. This hotel is also attached to the train station as well as shopping. Really enjoyed our visit "

"Bodde tre netter i en leilighet med ett soverom. Det var romslig for oss to, gangavstand til alt, og like ved Oslo S. Litt omvei å hente nøkkel et annet sted når man har mye baggasje, men det gikk fint. Savner en litt større pute på soverommet. Kjekk, liten balkong og fantastisk utsikt fra en flott takterrasse. Anbefales! "

"Lovely setting, plentiful breakfast w lots of choice (no rotten or mouldy food while I was there, to address earlier reviews). Staff are very helpful and the grounds are beautiful. It’s not central, but is good value. Easy access to public transportation. Kitchen is clean and well equipped and breakfast meal service is good."

Room is clean, noisy external & bad soundproog

"Location is fantastic. 9* The room size is small clean which is alright. Noisy external tram / train noise. Later midngt, young guys with loud music hanging around. At 3am next door room had late ngts screaming laughing. Hard to sleep."

Basic, clean close to Oslo S hotel could be noisy7

"It is a basic clean hotel. The concept is efficiently operated. 24/7 in house staff to address the needs. The location to Oslo s is only a mere 3min walk. Citybox oslo is kind enough to change my room facing noisy trams line. Subsequently, my room was facing void courtyard where i could hear chinese couple quarrel.at 4am, loud hp music, talkg till late at night from nearby windows and also my opp room. Depending on your luck, it could be pleasant. Pantry is available at ground floor."
