The hotel is clean the staff is nice and overall it was a great stay. The area around it leaves a bit to be desired, as it’s not clean. However it’s close to restaurants and shopping areas so there’s plenty to do. Plus there’s a JR station right by it, so there’s easy travel to anywhere you need to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, very good amenities & staffs. Absolutely loved the heater that kept us warm during the winter nights. It’s a tight space for 3 of us but that’s what you get for the price. The walls are paper thin so you have to be quiet at night. There’s only 1 lift and 1 shower (located on the first floor).

Great value
Very convenient area, and great value for price compared to some of the other hotels in thr area. Free coffee, green tea, and barley tea. Even has a hot plate on every floor if you want to cook.

Over all great experience
Over all very good. The place is clean & nice. Super convenient area, near to Shin-Imamiya station that direct connect to many places like Kansai Airport and Nara, and many 24hours store and a big 24hours Don Quijote mall. Only something not so good is that only a few staff with good English communication. Some can understand simple English, but some don't understand even simple enquiries. Having some difficulties on one early morning when try to check my extended nights bookings. Evening staffs were good in English.

Everything is as expected given the price point. The place is clean and pretty convenient location wise. However, I did not enjoy the neighbourhood. It's not shady per se but it's a bit rundown and not much eating venues around, especially at night.

Hostel type Japanese style clean simple accommodat
This is a clean hostel type hotel Japanese style rooms. Extremely small rooms. Everything is very clean but there was only 1 shower for men and 3 for women and the building had numerous rooms. There is also washing machines which you need to pay for but these were also heavily used and waiting lines. There needs to be more facilities to support the number of guests but fine for a quick stay if you only need a room for a night. Location is a bit outside Osaka and is a train ride to Osaka Station and a change of trains to shin-Osaka station but the area itself is nice and has local restaurants. Value is good as long as you do not need any hotel type facilities.

You get what you need
It is a budget hotel, so you do not get your own bathroom which can be annoying if there are grubs from other countries there that do not know how to clean up after themselves and the walls are thin but it's a good place to stay. Would recommend for someone on a budget.

It was our first experience and found that it's not our prefer. Though there is 9 story but bathroom is on the first floor and has too few. Not really convenient.

Good deal
It's extremely cheap and the area is sketchy, but it's safe. The staff is friendly. Having to use the side door at night instead of a front entrance is annoying and the wi-fi is awful. The room is small but there's a TV and fridge. It's a pretty good deal is your won't be spending a lot of time in the room.

Simple trip with very cheap hotel
we intended to use the hotel just for sleeping. So we came back every night beyond 24:00. The hotel is really basic so the price is cheap. No need for bath really if you stay for a night or two, as there are amazing Onsen (hotspring) nearby.

Inadequate and disappointing
Disorganised at check-in. For the price the size and comfort of the room was fine, except that it, along with the rest of the hotel stank of smoke and was thus nauseating. Facilities were wholly inadequate. Just two showers for 8 floors of rooms, and both of those were on the ground floor near the main entrance. No towels and no soap in bathrooms. This is called a hotel but, aside from the private rooms, is run like and has the facilities of a very bad hostel. Not worth it, even at the price.

Simple and pleasant stay for its price
I made a last minute reservation and got to Asakusa Hotel Fukudaya. It's a budget hotel, so without any high expectation about its facilities, I would summarize my stay as comfortable and satisfied. The staff was absolutely helpful by giving me directions on how to get to my destination in the most convenient way. His English was pretty good too, compared to many other places where I stayed throughout my 9 days trip. I booked a room for 2 person. The room was small, but big enough for 2 for a simple overnight stay. The air-conditioner/heater was a saviour during the cold autumn season. Overlooking the walls that have coffee(?) stain on them, the tatami floor and nice thick futon was enough for us to sleep through the night without any problem. There is a hot water dispenser at the corridor of our floor (I haven't been to every floor, maybe they have also have them too), so it's very convenient for anyone who wants to have a hot drink any time of the day. Toilet is available on every floor but is shared between male and female, so the females have to be more cautious before they enter because they might accidentally catch the men in the course of relieving themselves. All in all, a simple and pleasant stay at a reasonably priced budget hotel.

We had booked for a twice sharing room, but the room is extremely small that can barely fit in two single mattress and the two mattress need to overlap each other. The whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke and the wifi connection was terrible. The reception close at 11pm and the Staff will keep all the Thermos flask and Microwave, if you want to heat something for supper, there will no hot water and microwave.

My Friends Bag is stolen from Hotel Room. And there is no hotel staff to help us to call the cops.
