I made a last minute reservation and got to Asakusa Hotel Fukudaya. It's a budget hotel, so without any high expectation about its facilities, I would summarize my stay as comfortable and satisfied. The staff was absolutely helpful by giving me directions on how to get to my destination in the most convenient way. His English was pretty good too, compared to many other places where I stayed throughout my 9 days trip.
I booked a room for 2 person. The room was small, but big enough for 2 for a simple overnight stay. The air-conditioner/heater was a saviour during the cold autumn season. Overlooking the walls that have coffee(?) stain on them, the tatami floor and nice thick futon was enough for us to sleep through the night without any problem. There is a hot water dispenser at the corridor of our floor (I haven't been to every floor, maybe they have also have them too), so it's very convenient for anyone who wants to have a hot drink any time of the day.
Toilet is available on every floor but is shared between male and female, so the females have to be more cautious before they enter because they might accidentally catch the men in the course of relieving themselves.
All in all, a simple and pleasant stay at a reasonably priced budget hotel.
