Candeo Hotel is not as nice as my last visit. The hotel doesn’t look like a new hotel. The carpet is not clean, I saw carpet water mark inside the room and hallway. No one vacuum my room for my entire staying period. The things I like this Hotel is close to shopping, dining and transportation. Great view in the 17 floor resting area, it is very relaxing.

Dirty hotel, stay clear if you can.
I was in Osaka for a two day trip and decided to stay here due to the proximity to Dotonbori. Hotel is located next to a few night clubs and there is trash everywhere in front the hotel. Not a good look before checking in. This bad to be the dirtiest location I’ve stayed in hotel wise in Japan, and Japan isn’t know for being dirty. Lots of foreigners here, including myself, but a lot of them had no respect for Japanese customs when it came to the onsen on the 17th floor. People were getting into the spa without showering first and the whole males locker room/onsen was a complete mess(trash and towels all over the floor. I started doing laundry at the hotel at 10pm and didn’t finish until 3:45am because the washer/dryer combo doesn’t dry your clothes properly. All in all, I got what I paid for but I’ve gotten more for my money in Japan at a better and cleaner hotel.

I love hotels that come with public baths in Japan. This come with a decent hot bath that is open air. Location wise this is within walking distance to doutonbori

A friend recommended this hotel and we are very happy with it. Walking distance to Dotonbori, Kuroman Market, and Shinsaibashi. Easy access to trains so we even went to Himeji Castle. Great staff, always friendly and helpful! Clean rooms that are not cramped. Great indoor and out-door onsens.

Great hotel. Walkable for main transport links at Namba and Shinsaibashi stations, as well as close to the Sakaisuji line. Super close to the buzz of Dontonburi - but set a few blocks back to feel like a bit of an oasis.. made even more so by the wonderful rooftop onsen. Would stay again and recommend!

Great location if you’re looking to walk to Dotonburi, though it is a bit of a gritty and grimy area, with plenty of trash on the sidewalks. The lobby of the hotel was clean and modern, though the dark carpeting in the hallways showed a lot of dust accumulated along the edges, the cleaning staff left supplies strewn throughout the hallways as they were working, and our bathroom had a stale urine smell like an airplane toilet, so we were left with an overall unclean and uncomfortable feeling. The front desk staff were lovely. The experience overall was given the area, though it fell below expectations, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff were courteous and helpful especially Courtney! The hotel was a short walk to Dotonbori and pretty convenient. It's my second stay at a Candeo property (first one was at Singulari near USJ) and have enjoyed my stay again. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

This hotel is a big tour group destination. So it is over crowded and there are always huge groups in the lobby. The bed was very lumpy and the pillows were made of stone. The curtains and floors were stained and it took u til 5pm for our room to be cleaned. The spa was nice and clean though. I'm not one to usually complain about this sort of thing but it was our honeymoon and they put us on one of the lowest floors as well had teens all around us. Where we could hear them running around the hallways all night. The area was a double edged blade, on one side it was amazing walking distance to all the things you want to do and see. On the other it was so over crowded that we had to escape for a day or two to get some peace. Since we were on the 3rd floor we could hear people on the streets all night as well. Overall will not be coming back here ever again. A low point in my honeymoon.

If you are looking to be right in the heart of dotunburi, this is the perfect place. An onsen opened between 5pm and 11am for long days of walking. A few blocks from all the food you could eat and blocks away from some of the best shopping in osaka. Candeo is a must. Rooms are perfectly furnished, small but not tiny, beds were perfect and air condition worked perfectly.

Candeo Hotel was very close to Dotonburi. Conveniently located is a plus. Lots of restaurants nearby too. The rooms were very comfortable & they even have a washer/dryer in the hotel. There’s also a day market very close by that has lots of fresh seafood to eat too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Towels for public bath was the towels from your room so if you used the wash towel your room had no hand towels and the public bath had no shelves to leave your footwear the bath was nice but too many kids running wild all over. Hotel was nice rooms kind of small but that’s japan but too pricey breakfast was ok wouldn’t stay more than one night

I loved staying at Candeo. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The public bath was a nice daily treat. Facility is clean and centralized to everything. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Clean hotel near a lot of dining and very active night entertainment area of Osaka. The views from the public bath on the roof for excellent. The breakfast was tasty, and contained both western and Japanese foods. If you’re looking for a no-frills Hotel Osaka that’s nicely located, this is the place to stay.
