By car you take the motorway E4 which runs all the way from Helsingborg in southern Sweden to Haparanda in the north, via for example Stockholm and Ornskoldsvik. Once you are here you can use local buses, which you catch either from Ornparken or from the travel centre Resecentrum. Use the excellent local ferries to get to the islands Ulvon and Trysunda, popular for summer excursions for swimming and fishing.
