Firstly, the young lady doing check in was awesome! After that it was all down hill,,, Room condition was not great- the shower handle was not secure in the wall, the bed was on a pedestal that was peeling apart, no duvet cover on the bed, just sheets that were thrown on the bed- I guess they were clean. Breakfast- not many offerings- area was clean but you have to like waffles...

A bit dated, carpets in halls were dirty. Room was clean. Entire 1st floor was musty smelling. 2nd floor fine.For the price it was OK.

Good value, poor execution

This hotel/room was nice and spacious, but it would’ve been nice to know that it was currently under construction and many of the amenities were not available. The gym was closed, the pool was closed and the glorious looking continental breakfast was running at about a quarter capacity of the photo you see when booking. The room was great for the price but the hotel itself was lackluster.

Below average hotel, room was ok. Clean when we got there but was never serviced in our 5 day stay. Had to get our own towels which isn’t a big deal but hotel left a lot to be desired. Outside was terrible and hallway/lobby floors were gross. The pictures are definitely deceiving! If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and shower it’s fine. Nice family vacation place….not so much. Location is good, close to interstate and not far from nice beach!

I read the previous reviews just right before arrival to the property and I'm not going to lie, I was worried. However, I can say I didn't experience anything bad. The beds were pretty comfy and staff very accomodating to our needs. Its true that the property needs a little bit more TLC and better housekeeping but it did served it's purpose. If you are looking for a place to put your head down to sleep at night after a busy day without breaking your wallet... this will do.

Difficult to tell from the entryway if the hotel was even open due to scaffolding all around the building. The hallways and room had white styrofoam substance blown in everywhere; water seeping from under tiles at the foot of the bed. Staff was friendly and moved us to another room; air conditioning was filled with styrofoam and would not cool; styrofoam all over the bed and floor of the second room. Staff was courteous to my family, but there were other customers giving attitude and getting it back. Honestly felt a bit sorry for staff as they were just doing their jobs.

Awesome service by Distinguished Front Desk Nikita

My TV was not working and I had my room changed. The new room had the same issue with the TV, I thought it was the signal. The next day, the same problem with the TV, front desk Ms Nikita went out and beyond to amend the problem. Had my TV running, it was lack of programming. I appreciate her assistance and admire her how she went out of her way to assure my TV was running. Excellent Employee!! Excellent customer service.

Beware of Grumpy manager

The check in went smoothly. The building exterior is in rough shape and the interior smells musty like it had a water leak. Our room was okay. The bed has a metal base and you could not move without it making loud noises. The towels were the fluffiest and softest I have ever experienced!! Glad there was no carpet on the floor. Checking out was terrible. The manager was very grumpy and not so nice. Not just to us but other folks too. One couple left after they paid for a room because of the a/c being broken and the manager had an attitude about it. We are Hilton reward members and we have never experienced anything like this before. We travel all the time and apparently the couple that left do too. The exterior of the building is very run down looking and in dire need of a paint job. The shower fixtures in our room were very rusty too. Was okay for a one night sleep but won't book at this hotel the next time we go up there for work unless they get a new manager and invest some time in presentable rooms. LOVE THE TOWELS THOUGH..

I mean, I only paid $80 a night to stay at this place but I’ve stayed at a lot better places for the same dollar amount. If I was to drive by, I would not have stayed here but did so because I booked it site unseen. The property is rundown, I don’t imagine it being a Baymont hotel anytime after the next month or so. They only had one luggage cart. The other one was broken and you couldn’t even use the first one because it’s locked up in the breakfast room which closes around noon so thank God we had our own cart. The outside looks like it was in the middle of renovation but there’s no work being done and no equipment ever being seen, which makes me believe it’s either falling apart or never got the work done. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a very cold refrigerator but that’s the only positive. The chair was old and dirty, and some dog had scratched up most of the walls. We stayed for three nights because we weren’t sure of our plans. There were three separate reservations. Had I not been lazy I would’ve checked out the first night. At least they were able to keep us in the same room, but don’t ask for a late check out it won’t happen.
